I really want to pull through with a synchrocentric build..of course featuring key beetle and lavaval chain.
Anyone willing to build one?

in your transmodify build, wouldn't bottomless be a better call over upstart@1? Thinking on this a bit more I'll probably swap out the Upstart for a Book of Moon. Maybe the Bottomless Trap Hole. IDK yet. Shadwen - I will see if 1 of my 12 builds on DN can be updated for that. updated the OP more.

Shadwen- My Avenger build looks like its the best option for a synchro based build. Did a few more changes from when I posted it on page 1, especially since no one noticed that I had 2 low-level fusions in the extra but no way to get them out.

I like what I'm seeing here! I'll post some of mine when I finally get around to updating them.
One of the recently released cards I'm looking into trying in here is Pot of Dichotomy. Now I know it's not really that great of an idea, but it is something potentially viable to be used in the deck (not necessarily for the deck's sake however). Considering the fact we go through at least 2 main deck monster types, and plenty more in the Extra Deck since the deck Xyzs often, I'm thinking it's got some potential too! And the deck doesn't need to attack to win, it just needs to set-up and playing the resource game, and the +1 can come in handy too. In a way, one can even add a bit more flexibility into the Extra Deck selection as you can recycle them.
Then again, idk how much the deck likes drawing. It'll certainly conflict and turn off Infernity effects temporarily (or worse, if you draw into unusable hands somehow). I'm just saying it should be given a try. See how far (forward or back) it takes the deck.

Dichotomy would be great if you are able to send back all extra deck cards just to minimize the number of monsters still in deck.

That's also quite the possibility. Let's run through the typical Extra Deck/Xyz Summons a typical Xyzcentric will go through quickly:
- Lavalval Chain (Sea Serpent) - Leviair the Sea Dragon (Aqua) - Number 66: Master Key Beetle (Insect) - Diamond Dire Wolf (Beast) - Number 50: Blackship of Corn (Plant) - Daigusto Emeral (Rock)
- Flame Ghost (Zombie/Fusion) - Darkfire Dragon (Dragon/Fusion)
And that's not yet counting any maindeck'd monster types exhibited in other Extra Deck potentials, like Warriors (Karbonala Warrior, Gagaga Cowboy) and Fiends (Maestroke the Symphonic Djinn and Number 88: Crazy Box).

And a typical combo play can at one point or another get fiend, beast, and sea serpent in grave at same time. Downside is that it means you need to set the Dichotomy and use it on the following turn.

There can be times where you can't really empty your hand anyways, and to lessen the early suspicion and giving away your deck, so you can sometimes keep this in the hand. Setting it doesn't really hurt much anyways, seeing as how it just adds to the illusion of a strong backrow. And bluffs can be useful in distracting MSTs, and in that situation, a 141 isn't so bad. Sure, you may have eventually gotten a +1 if you still had Pot, but it's no real loss.

The reason I mentioned setting it to then use the following turn is because that will usually mean 2 turns of not attacking in a row. The setup turn doesn't usually attack in order to be able to attack under live Barriers, and then Dichotomy makes it so you would skip that following BP. It would definitely become a late game card imo, and I try not to need a late game.

It'd be a recovery card more than a play you just have to do. Besides, having more cards to the backrow is already in itself a powerful tool. The longer a card lingers there, the more careful or reckless different opponents will behave, and that can play into your hands.

It's good to see this thread getting some activity since Infernity will be a strong deck in the open of next format.

Certainly in the forefront of my testing time in the next little while.

Are you focusing on Xyz or Synchros?

Now that I got the Xyz I needed left (I was short Blackship for a long time and Diamond Dire was traded since I knew it was gonna be tin-reprinted), I probably will try Xyzcentric first. I can set aside Synchrocentric anyways, and I know I'll be getting a Dichotomy or two, which can also work for Synchroing (Dragon is another type). Actually, that deck can support Dichotomy more since Void Ogre will usually defend itself pretty well and it will take a lot to get around it alone, never mind it backed up and supported.

Yeah, a synchro focused build would definitely be able to protect itself during a Dichotomy turn.
