Are you guys mainly going for Lonefire with Nutrient? What do you do when you draw a copy when Lonefire is already in the grave? Don't forget that Peaskeeper goes off when it's Special Summoned as well. It can be as good a target as any while there are still many Shinra left in the deck!

Good point. I really need to try and memorize what all the Shines do, and when.

I could see going for Peas if I know the top card thanks to Peak or Knight. That'd be legit. Okay, I'm liking SSN a lot more now. I'll definitely have to start working with it more.

You wouldn't know the top card though, even if you had used the effects of Peak or Knight. SSN ends up causing you to shuffle the deck before you can use the effect of Peas.

That's why I said it would be good when there are still many Shinra left in the deck. Once that's no longer the case, it becomes a bit more risky to try to pull that off. It's still not a terrible play to make, and it does keep Nutrient live longer, which is never a bad thing.

Even if you can't guarantee it to hit a plant, you have moved a potentially useless card to the bottom of the deck. Unless that card was Dark Hole. Then you cry.

Oh, that will happen. Shinra players need to understand that enough shuffling will happen over the course of the duel that such things like a Hole mill won't matter. A simple use of Peak will throw buried cards back around in the deck, of course.

The mass of times a Sylvan deck can get reshuffled may actually make 1-of cards less likely to be used unless they are too good for the deck not to include. I'm looking at Foolish Burial as one.

They have settled on Sylvan, huh? I suppose that name change doesn't grind my gears.
Anyway, Burial does have to be in here, but I don't think the mechanic should preclude the use of other one-of cards, because those cards won't be milled if revealed. They will still be right there in the deck, waiting to be drawn.

I'm just looking at the frequency that they may actually get drawn considering the number of times they will get shuffled around. In my experience its not good unless you opened with it.

Yes! Sneak promo! This guy looks interesting too. Seems like a solid way to replenish cards lost from using Peak's effect.

I was going to post it myself, but I figured you'd do the work for me. thx
It definitely isn't getting that first effect often...or ever. Not that it's worth trying to get anyways. This card is Peak fodder and nothing more.

And, let's be honest here: Having this kind of "Peak fodder" is better for the archetype than if we would want to try to use another of such card's effects anyway. It's perfectly fine for that first effect to be largely irrelevant. It seems like an asset to the deck, but nothing that pushes it too far. It should work just fine.
