Yeah, but I'm seeing people who run NO FF cards side tech it at 1 or 2. For those builds wouldn't Night Beam be superior?

Not if they want their opponent to waste resources like MST on removing it.

I use it in Inzektors cause that gives me 2 targets for Hornet pops when I may not otherwise have it.
Also many people might not react to the Gyokkou the same as Night Beam. Like if you have 2 chainables on field and both could be used without serious loss in advantage a player might chain the untargeted so they could use the targeted as well. This doesn't help when the opponent is playing Mermails, the 2 cards could be chained and all you did was set off a Sphere.
Against Gyokkou they may not and will just wait til they draw an out or they can MST it on the chain. That has the added benefit of while you sided in more S/T hate, they just used 1 of theirs on something that you might not mind getting hit. Mermails really have no great answers for a Gyokkou locking down a Sphere.

For those builds wouldn't Night Beam be superior? well mst atm will still beat night beam. in addition, there are possibility of wasting night beam on a two card chain. If night beam were to see more play, i would still advocate for the banning of mst.

Even if Night Beam sees more play. Konami won't dare ban MST.

It's a shame Night Beam doesn't stop Artifacts....

Only if you draw it, and then they just unload a SS'd myrmeleo on you and it's game.

You would suggest siding Majesty's Fiend and Royal Decree in everything?

You would suggest siding Majesty's Fiend and Royal Decree in everything? i didn't say that, but considering on most HAT work. royal decree would do well against their heavy backrow lineup while majesty fiend will take care of their monster effects. In addition, most of their spells will not do much to disrupt against the combo other than book of moon.

Well, the thing is this is the side deck [i[staples[/i] doesn't that kind of imply sided in most everything? Although.. actually.. now I DO want to try siding them....

Similar to how decks like Mermails sided Vanity's Fiend, maybe some decks can support Majesty's Fiend. I'm thinking of making a Sinister Yorishiro/Mausoleum Control deck with a bunch of big ol' Fiends.

I think Sinister Yorishiro is overlooked, it has a lot of potential.

Fiends like Majesty and Vanity would like it.
Tried it out in a DW deck. It was meh.
