Side Decks are usually what differentiate top decks from one another. But what are the universal cards in every side deck.
Right now with so many DR decks running around, the big ones I see are;
Effect Veiler Maxx "C" Vanity's Emptiness Imperial Iron Wall
What else? Discuss.

Gozen Match has become a big pick against Rulers right now.

Gozen Match has become a big pick against Rulers right now. I agree with this. Gozen Match is very powerful, especially coupled with a mono or semi-mono attribute deck.

Constellars, Evilswarm, Fire Fists/Kings all make sweet love to this card.

What about the recently released Vampire Hunter? He's good against the predominating DARK monsters.
I'd also mention D.D. Crow, despite losing popularity is still a damaging card, especially against those Graveyard reliant Decks.

Destiny hero plasma is another good "all in 1" card to fight dragons, just protect him from blaster.

I'd say Mystical Space Typhoon is the closest thing to a Side Deck "staple" we have at the moment. But that, Gozen Match, and without a doubt Debunk need to be added to the OP.

For a little while Mystical Refpanel almost hit staple status too. The absurd amount of draw cards in Rulers is what caused a huge price jump too.

lol and that's just bonus points. I started using it because its a non-targeting way to deal with Maiden with Eyes of Blue.

Staple is another buzz word that gets over used and is almost always used incorrectly. Refpanel was never a staple, it was just the hot hype for a few minutes. And that hawt hype made me some profit. Also, cards that are a player's individual flavor card are never staples.
