First of all, having a vent thread is a wonderful idea. Given certain paths we take in life, for once we can connect and explore the depths of our minds. This vent thread should be as such. Regardless, I wish to connect and give my two cent, rather than YGO business only. By the way, I hope you don't mind the grammar. I was never good in writing papers. I'm a total science and math guy, hence physicist =]
@ Radga - we may not talk often, but if you need an ear I'm willing to listen. I grew up having to deal with the after effects of 9/11. Because of my race and skin color, people segregated those who are not "white" I was included. I got jump, robbed and my childhood was mentally/emotional destroy. Not one person was supporting me at that time.
@ Dragons in the shadow - How is the job hunting going ? I'm looking myself, the economy is difficult. Many people are selling these American VISA to leave. Things got to difficult.
@ BYstander - Really -.- if your college is like that, I would never want to go there.

@ Dragons in the shadow - How is the job hunting going ? I'm looking myself, the economy is difficult. Many people are selling these American VISA to leave. Things got to difficult. Not well. I have been rewriting my resume which was on my old computer, which I no longer have access to. So I'm doing that by memory. Making matters worse internet activity has been, well, s****y lately. F**king Comcast. Once I have my resume completed I plan on sending it to Pratt and Whitney. My dad and grandfather both worked there and it has always been a dream of mine to follow in their footsteps. I'm also looking into some other companies including Lowes where I know a manager.

They want their graduates t be able to write grammatically correct before they graduate. Thank God this went into effect after I graduated.

There really isn't enough hours in the day is there?
Day in day out i try to log in a few minutes/an hour of research time, and maybe an hour if that dueling. 2 hours out of 24, sounds easy....but it just never is. I hate this sensation of "rust" on my skills. This most recent tournament proved it for me. I know I KNOW how to play, just like you all know I KNOW how to play, but I kept making stupid mistakes and forgetting things mid game that really did cost me. I just want to take like an effing week off and do nothing but YGO till I feel the grindstone that is competition has re-honed my skills. It pisses me off that I'm slowly having to "grow up" and put the cards down.. I don't want to!

....the reality of "growing up" I could strongly relate, hence why Lightning. Otherwise, your not to only one with "rust" I'm making mistakes I shouldn't be and forgetting simple ratios and plays of my opponent. My skills aren't what they use to be, not to mention lacking passion and hope to play once more.

However even with lacking skills and mistakes, what you learned can never be taken away. It is all about growth.

I learned many things within YGO how people react and respond to winning/losing. The period of thought process, how long does it take your opponent to change their play style, and most importantly who actually "plays" the game rather than measuring who **** is bigger. -.- many guys love to measure who is better. I can't say for females since I lack a large number of group to test my experiment.

I want to reattain the skills and plays I had. the more this game moves on, the less I feel I know, no matter the research and testing.

everyone hates that sense of falling behind.
Just got to get the play time in whenever possible even if it is for a quick game or two.

I'm sadly a bit addicted to Pokemon in general at the moment. I'll be doing a bit less YGO for now. Otherwise I still do weekly meets with my "locals".
