All I really know about this is I will want to slap the multitudes that will be claiming Goyo is coming off of Forbidden for the 3rd straight list.

I don't think the 2800 is the only issue, his steal effect would be an issue even at say 2500/2600.

Yes, he would steal lots of monsters... but if you think about what he is able to steel with 2800 ATK that he wouldn't be able to do with 2500 ATK: Stardust Dragon, Shi En, Master Hyperion, Grapha, thought ruler archfiend, Dracossack with no tokens (obviously), chaos sorcerer and that is only thinking about some of the decks that I have now. Those 300 points make a huge difference. Although I admit... maybe it would still be in the banning list, but we would have a chance to see him back. With 2800 ATK points, I guess that we will only see it back if the game starts to have all the boss monsters above 3000 ATK point and I don't see that hapening |

People would be using battle changers far more. Cards like Lance and Dress would easily put those boss monster within range of Goyo running them down and stealing them.

That's why I said maybe it would be better. I was just making a point that his ATK mixed with his effect is the reason why he will never be off the list. |

That would only help in getting smaller monsters and not the beat sticks that are all over.

I can think of some decks from the ones that I have/can build that would benefit with it greatly: Agents, Lightsworns, Dark World (it would be so good in here...), Chaos Dragons, Dragon Rulers... and some others that would find some use: Gravekeeper's, Battlin' Boxers, Dragunity, Six Sams (to fuel double-edged sword), Heraldic Beasts... oh, I guess that all of them |

Yeah there isn't really any deck I can think of that wouldn't make use of either of those cards.
