That Ho-oh wannabe, Fengshuang I think it was. Need to look into that guy. I know the Monarchs can handle the backrow, wouldn't hurt to have a spirit option like this.

It is Fenghuang. And is really the opposite of Dark Dust. While DDS hits face up monsters, Fenghuang only hits set S/Ts.

Can you give an example of what the engine would be like?

Naw man, go a step further... Obelisk Schooled And every time I see a deck that can drop Obelisk like this makes me think Konami is going to ban Obby. I just need a list of card that can go into the engine. I am looking @ engines that can be used in Monarch decks. I want to try this engine out.

Except that obby isn't quite that good. He's balanced at the moment. Maybe something will break him eventually, but not yet.
I think Obby Schooled is mainly just Raccoons that tech Obby.

Pendulum summons are coming. That will break him. True monarchs can alos tech him but those are the decks that have great recursion of monsters.

That still means 3 monsters in hand, 2 pendulums in play, AND obby in hand. That's all 6 cards. I don't think it'll break him.

Yes it is just Obby in a Raccoon deck, I like Slifer in there too though.
Ghostricks make a great Monarch engine, right cards can even make it a recyclable engine.

like run your racoon engine (3 poke 3 tan, 3 tree otter, some kittens? kalantosa, ect..) and your monarchs trib off them. specifically mega mobuis likes the use of otter and other tributes.
alternately, you could run a set up involving nimble fish and nimble beasts (manta, angler, sunfish, monomonga ect) and use the anglers and such to summon cards like tricky or QD while backing it up with tech caius and mega mobby.
