I agree with that. This archetype sure looks awesome.

I can hardly wait to see what the rest of the BA support in NECH is. Hopefully we can get more main deck BA monsters (so we don't have to rely on shit like Mathematician anymore) and a spell that serves as an Avarice (something the deck really needs).

Avarice would be sooo good in this deck. I really wish we still had it. As for a themed version, I would like to see how close to POA it is. I would dig sonething like Return up to 3 Burning Abyss monsters with different names from the graveyard to the deck; then add 1 fiend type from your graveyard to hand whose level is less than or equal to the the number of cards returned. Then smack a shaddoll player

A theme stamped Avarice would be nice, but technically we could use Transmigration Prophecy right now since we get 2 of them again.

Just going to put this here and let the discussion continue about this:
This week's deck feature won 1st Place at the Circuit Series tournament in Indianapolis, Indiana! Congratulations to Jeff Jones for this finish. In doing so, he piloted a very unique build of Burning Abyss, because he simply believed that other builds of the deck were many steps behind. Jeff is known by many as one of the best deckbuilders in the game currently, and this reflects in his Burning Abyss decklist! The maindeck consisted of exactly 20 monsters and 20 traps, with no spells at all! There are many unconventional things about his list, namely the maxing out of copies of Phoenix Wing Wind Blast AND Karma Cut, both of which are extremely powerful when a Burning Abyss monster is discarded for their activation. 3 Trap Stun to stop a variety of things like Vanity's Emptiness, and Mind Crush, a card that hasn't seen much play as of late but will likely resurface now. In addition, he played 3 copies of Raiza the Storm Monarch, as simply a really great monster against the Shaddoll matchup and something can cannot be fused with using Super Polymerization. 2 copies of Shaddoll Dragon to compliment his playset of Mathematicians to pick off backrow cards or get out of Emptiness locks were very helpful, too. There are many neat things in this decklist of his, the list itself is below for you to check it out and give it a try!
Main Deck 3 Cir, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss 3 Scarm, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss 3 Graff, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss 3 Mathematician 3 Tour Guide from the Underworld 2 Shaddoll Dragon 3 Raiza the Storm Monarch 3 Phoenix Wing Wind Blast 3 Karma Cut 3 Vanity's Emptiness 3 Mind Crush 3 Trap Stun 2 Breakthrough Skill 1 Compulsory Evacuation Device 1 Bottomless Trap Hole 1 The Traveler and the Burning Abyss
Side Deck 2 Mobius the Frost Monarch 2 Majesty's Fiend 2 Maxx "C" 2 Mystical Space Typhoon 2 The Monarchs Stormforth 2 Stygian Dirge 3 Non-Fusion Area
Extra Deck 3 Dante, Traveler of the Burning Abyss 3 Downerd Magician 2 Ghostrick Alucard 1 Number 30: Acid Golem of Destruction 1 Number 20: Giga-Brilliant 1 Tri-Edge Levia 1 Leviair the Sea Dragon 1 Number 49: Fortune Tune 1 Number 47: Nightmare Shark

While not many will run 3 of all or any of the main deck monsters like the first wave were, these ones provide control versus the floaters we previously had. And that Trap card, oh man, that's gonna be intense.

I need sets of everything!
Can't see keeping a BA deck at 40 with these additions.

Well, I would get 3 of everything anyways for at least collection purposes, but idk if I'd run 3 of all the new BAs. The original trio is still probably gonna be good for triplicates.
Personally, I'd play the both Traps at even 3, since they go well with each other.

As of now, I am liking Alich as a main deck replacement for B-Skills, and Fire Lake as a sideboard card. Tuner is a 1 of, Virgil is a 2 of. Still don't know how I feel about Calcab. It's only reall useful if it's use with Fire Lake or PWWB specifically (during end phase).

At least I see someone else saying Virgil needs to be more than 1. Have heard so many people bitch about that because you can only have 1 on the field at a time and Cir can just get it back from the grave. My response to that was people like Karma Cut. And by extension other banish effect cards.

Calcab with PWWB is pretty damn boss IMO.
Fire lake a side board card. Send 2 BA monsters to the grave, pop up to 3 cards on the field, and then get the sent BAs effects. Yeah that card needs to be mained. It is an engine for the deck in itself.

Yeah that card needs to be mained. It is an engine for the deck in itself. If the card were a tribute 1, ping 2 (basically Icarus Attack), it would have been better. As it is, it is kind of situational. If I had the choice of pinging up to 3 or going for an Xyz/Synchro play, in most cases, I'd do the latter because I have other cards in the deck that make backrow less threatening.

Could use the trap to clear the field and get what you need for the XYZ/Synchro play.
