Did I miss that meeting, or did it not happen? I'd love to know what's going on here... Shad and I were the only two who showed. So at the moment it's post what you're running here. Well, all I know for sure is that I'll be running some form of custom-crafted Chain Summoning Gadget deck(s) in my assortment. I'll also be testing a couple of my favorite Burn decks, and doing more testing for a couple of more recent ideas of mine. EDIT: Testing has shown me that I might be running my custom-crafted Seventh Gadget build as my #1. The deck is just plain rude...

I'd be curious to see this, I have a Spirit deck idea revolving around Chain Summoning that would be similar.

I'd say it will be similar, because my deck also has Spirits in it! Why not maximize the "live time" of Kage and, by extension, Chain Summoning? Ask Drill how well it can work. He was the victim of a rather brutal few hands of mine...

Saying the 30th?
What is the process in creating a team thread on DNF? I have seen some really good free agents and my inner Brian Cashman wants to start recruiting.
Having that thread would be a huge boon for this.

I have no idea how one goes about making a thread. I'll try to look into it, I've been distracted by a pair of test results and the OCG side of things.

I posted a few samples of how other teams have done it earlier in this thread. It is kind of like creating a post on Monster.com. Post what you are looking for in a player (the initial ad should contain: requirements in win/loss records, experience ratings, attitude, knowledge of rules, etc ) and then create whatever methods of how you want to test that person (sort of like an interview).

Post what you are looking for in a player (the initial ad should contain: requirements in win/loss records, experience ratings, attitude, knowledge of rules, etc ) and then create whatever methods of how you want to test that person (sort of like an interview). The problem is that I can't do.. W/L records: You almost all have negative/barely positive records in Singles, and also the majority of you have a small number of games in matches. (Burn and Shad for example have both played... one match) This can't set the bar. Experience/Ratings: Checking your DN, Experience is ish. Rating is ish. This can't set the bar. Attitude: This one I can do. Knowledge of rules: Has anyone other than me tried/passed any admin tests? Or any rulings tests for that matter? If so, what did you score? (I don't know if this can set the bar until I know how you all are on rulings) I can only do attitude reasonably for a recruitment plan. Why? Because you guys are setting the bar. If we set up requirements to join. You guys need to qualify. NONE of you would qualify in more than one of these sections if this is a competitive recruitment. That's a problem. (If you want to know my opinions on myself, my win/loss, my rulings know how, etc, for any of these, feel free to ask.)

Rated tcg matches would be the best way to judge fairly, if going this route.
Or you could go the academy way.
And as I myself said when joining this team, I'd not be more than a placefiller as I cannot play rated.

Well let me know if im still on the team. Are you kidding me Shad? I ask you to contribute on the thread rather than the chatbox and this is how you respond?

I think as a team we need to build together, not leave anyone out. however if yall decide to go that route, it will shut out alot of our members and cause it to not be team TCGRevs team..but a team made of randoms that are not a part of this site.
I feel as we are now we need practice and that is it.
Better?

One of the conditions could be setting up and account and actively posting here, since this is a team for the site. The original idea was to use the team success to help recruit other players to this site.
Perhaps a better idea would be to recruit them to the site using the team as an engine. That could be a requirement for joining in up with the team.
Deck types are another requirement I forgot to mention.
I can understand your hesitation on the creation of the requirement list since we don't fit the bill if you start with a high bar. Thing is we don't have to say how high the bar is set when you make the list. The purpose of the list is to attract the attention of free agents.
Bottom line you got to start looking @ the person and not just the numbers. We should create a grading system of potential candidates. Think about how colleges set up there entrants screening, they no longer go by just the number of a SAT score. They also look @ your grades, and any other extra curricular activities you are involved in in and outside of school now.
You also can access the current players by how they are contributing themselves to the team. There is no lack in skill with the player base the current team has. We all can hold our own in duels. That much is a given.
The for the recruitment list idea is to help balance the team with experienced players. If you are honest about this maybe we might be able to attract some experienced free agent players. Besides which our "lack" of high ratings/experience might make other team think we are easy marks to get "free" wins off of, this can set us up for some very surprising underdog victories.
