Not really. He's done this before.

Not really. He's done this before. In my experience, I have this done to me too many times before. Someone else was always chosen over me even though I would have done it better.

I get the feeling he's holding out so I was available for packing up Lawn and Garden and for setting up Halloween and Christmas...Even though those duties should be done by the Lawn and Garden/Season staff members. I'm not responsible for all the crap I've done over the past couple of days and half of it I shouldn't be doing in the first place due to health issues. Well, this week is my last chance until his vacation starts. He has until Wednesday to come to a decision or he will have two staff positions to fill when he gets back.

That's a shame to hear really, but I hope it works out.

I want you to get the position, from what you told us you deserve that shot.
I hate the thought idea of you being overlooked.

Well, its finally moving forward. The HR manager told me to meet her in her office and she told me she posted the position on the corporate website, meaning I could now apply. She told me to hurry and get it done as quickly as possible. So, since I've been having internet trouble, I did it right there and then. It was posted about 5 minutes before I applied and it was removed shortly after. Which means I was the only one in store who could have applied. Now I'm just waiting on the background check. LP would have probably been able to do it today, but the form that they require couldn't be printed.
I'm not too concerned about the background check. I have nothing to hide. There might be something about my dad and I training with the local Police and Sheriff's department, but I doubt it. I was very young at the time and only did a few demonstrations regarding leverage and center of gravity.

Got through another hurtle. The virtual assessment is done. Most idiotic portion of the process. Still waiting for the back ground check, but that can't be done until I sign off on it. Tech support fixed the printer today, but the HR manager had already left, so that might happen on Wednesday (next day I work).

Sorry to the mods for the double post, but I have an update. The results from the assessment are in and I have passed. And as I stated in the previous post the printer has been repaired, thus I have signed the release and the back ground check is under way. I know it'll go well, so I'm expecting the official word sometime on Friday.

It isn't a double post if the posts aren't within 24 hours of each other so you're good.
And awesome!

Nope, not yet. The HR manager left early today. So either she had some emergency and could not tell me the results or the background check is taking longer than she expected.
