OP has been updated. I know I am changing out Junk Synchron for Jiatou.
I am just wondering if I should run a 2:2 ratio of Chiwen and Jiatou (like i am showing in the op) or should I cut the supply squad and run 3 Chiwen, 2 Jiatou, and 1 copy of the level 5.
My reasoning is that Yang zing already plus off their destruction, and you control what goes back onto the field. Add in a creation or two and you could replace 1 YZ with 3. The once per turn destruction draw really doesn't seem to pair well. Also haven't been drawing into it a lot.
Probably going to drop Formula out of the extra, I have never once synched him out. I figure Phonon Pulse Dragon would be a better fit since his level mod effect would allow me to use him for other things.

Yeah, I don't think Formula needs to be in here. Try to keep Supply Squad in for now, as Jiaotu will put more Synchros on your board. Even though the YZ themselves plus off their destruction, your Synchros really don't. I understand that your YZ help to keep those Synchros on the board in different ways, but I think Jiaotu's summoning speed makes Squad worth more testing.

Really hadn't have any issues with keeping my synchs on the field. Bixi is used in the material mix the majority of the times. That pretty much pisses my opponent off to no end.
Still not sure about the 2:2 ratio for now.
My concern is with the number of mained YZ monsters. I basically need to have 2 other YZ monsters in hand after summoning Jiatou in hand to make use of its effect. That only leaves me 10 other monsters in deck to choose from. After the effect resolves I have 8 targets in deck and 5 in grave.
With no cards in hand to recycle back my used up YZ, it pretty much sticks me with having to create the Lv 7 Yazi and waiting on me to pull another YZ from my deck to set things off. That isn't the synchro flexibility that both of us wants from this. I do want to be able to bust out a Moonlight when facing off another Synchro/Fusion/Ritual centric deck.
With a 3:2:1 ratio I mentioned in my previous post that will start me off with 12 monsters in deck and end it with 10 in deck while only 5 in grave.
Right now I do get pluses off my synchros destruction with Creation on the field. That card resolves similar to Squad and puts what I need/want right on to the field rather than into the hand.

Maybe you have to consider adding more monsters anyway. Cut Squad if you must, but be careful not to add too many Tuners (if there is even such a thing for this deck.)

I am going with my 3:2:1 ratio. Taotie even though its effect is meh, does get around 101 apparently. That is a threat that can come from any deck with enough lv 4 monsters. Worth having @ least one copy of him. But interesting I still only have 6 tuners in this: 3 Chiwen, 2 Jaotie, and 1 Masked Chameleon. I saw a YZ deck being reviewed on TCGPlayer that placed in the top 5-8 in a Catskill regional this morning. Practically the same monster line up ratio for YZ monsters I used originally: 3 Bi'an, 3 Suanni, 3 chiwen, 2 bixi, 1 Pualao. He used 3 copies of Mathematician and a copy of Archfiend Eater in his build. Mathematician was to load the grave with Chiwen to utilize its recursion effect, and get a free draw when it was popped. Archfiend eater popped any leftover YZ monsters to get chiwen onto the field and set up another synch. Shocked he only went with 2 Paths instead of the normal 3 and didn't run Skill Drain @ all (chalice was mained in the spells, so was MST, BoM, and PoD). Ran 3 of BTS, Wiretap, and Creation as well as the standard 1 of other staple traps. yugioh.tcgplayer.com/db/deck.asp?deck_id=101304

It makes sense. A Chiwen-focused build could make great use of Mathematician and Eater as a Synchro engine, and that makes double Path a justifiable call because such a deck needs to keep monsters in the grave.
People don't like Traps, so having Chalice over Drain can give you battle tricks that are less susceptible to counter plays while negating what might endanger your Synchros.

I got the battle trick thing when I saw it.
I also got the counter scenario, when I saw a full set of Wiretap.
