I'd advise the cutting of DaD and a Lantern for Soul Exchange in the main.
Your going to have to explain the side deck to me however. It seems very odd.

The side allows for hand control..along with a valid engine (ronin) for march

I really wanted this deck to go from a solid control build..into hand control..depending on the match up.
It might be better to toss some hand control/manipulation in the main..and side for backrow and spellbooks

This Deck is looking good but there is some stuff you could do with it. Take this Deck Template I have for Monarch. I'm not saying use this build, it's a Template, a guideline to a better Deck.
It's almost identical to your build. The first thing you need is to drop the Forbidden/Limited stuff, then take out the cards you don't want and build it into a better Deck.
3x Battle Fader 2x Caius the Shadow Monarch 2x Dandylion 3x Dupe Frog Gorz the Emissary of Darkness 2x Gravekeeper's Spy 2x Jester Confit 2x Mobius the Frost Monarch 3x Raiza the Storm Monarch 3x Swap Frog 2x Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch Tragoedia 3x Treeborn Frog
Dark Hole Giant Trunade Monster Reborn Mystical Space Typhoon One for One Pot of Avaraice 3x Pot of Duality Soul Exchange
Torrential Tribute
Side Deck
Caius the Shadow Monarch Cyber Dragon 2x D.D. Crow 2x Effect Veiler 2x Junk Forward Mobius the Frost Monarch Snowman Eater Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch
2x De-Synchro
Solemn Judgment Solemn Warning

Crow 2x Effect Veiler 2x Junk Forward Mobius the Frost Monarch Snowman Eater Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch 2x De-Synchro Solemn Judgment Solemn Warning That doesn't make sense. Why would you cut gorz and Dark hole? it makes so little sense. And cutting a caius? And 2 spy? And jester confit? And trying to run 2 Dandylion when it is at 1? Can you please explain the logic behind this? monarchs are all about plays that gain +1 advantage. Thus, the frog engine works perfectly for them. Your build here takes that +1 and exchanges it for fodder from the hand to turn into monarch summons. Thus making it more of a 0 or -1 which is counter productive for this deck which is already slightly slower than other decks and needs the +1s to be able to compete. Also, this feels really just a "Take this. It's better. Try it instead." kind of post without any real reasoning behind it. Could you explain some of your deck choices?

Like I said it's a Template, not an actual build. It's a guideline so to speak. When I said drop the Forbidden/Limited stuff, it means drop any Forbidden cards such as Giant Trunade, Monster Reborn, and Pot of Avarice. As for Limited cards such as Dandylion I meant drop the copies of that card you can't use. Once you've done that you then have some slots for extra cards, like an extra copy of MST, or a Foolish Burial. I'm not saying take this it's better, I'm saying use it to get some extra ideas.

I'm afraid I don't understand why you would post a template that has banned cards. It seems to me if you want to post ideas you should post constructive ideas with explained reasoning backing it up. Not just post a decklist that is banned and say "Edit this"

Also like I said in previous posts I'm not saying "Take this it's better", or "Take this Edit it". It's a case of as I said previously, I give the person the Template as a guideline to help them build their Deck. The actual building part is up to the person I post it to, I leave a few tips of what to replace the banned cards with, but like I said the rest of the building is up to the person. Seriously it helps, I've used Templates to build some of my best Decks. I used to do this for people on the previous TCG Forums and it helped them a lot too.

So far it has worked well for him the 4/5 games I watched or played against it myself. He gets quick setup thanks to Swap, and Ronin has helped to make some powerful fields.

Templates are fine, but the Doctor has a point, outdated templates are the same as bad advice. Just keep them up-to-date and use them then in the future. 15 mins of annoyance after a list for months saved from this kind of headache/pointless argument seems like a good investment. Shad, you seem to have way too many monsters.....like at that point why not just forgo backrow all together and add things like gallis OTK and crap like that and just run monster only....I'd cut this back to 27 ish monsters, add those swaps like the doctor suggested, and perhaps invest in adding some of the "...of the monarchs" cards into here, or grissaille gaol.

@yoh Komori. I know those Templates are quite outdated, some of them I have go back as far as when Premature Burial was still useable. After some hints from ursiel I started taking the restricted cards out of the build and listing them below with reccomended replacements. You remember from the previous TCG Forum I like to give the people I'm posting them to a challenge. Because you know I don't focus a lot on Current Meta, so I let whoever I post it to see if they can find anyhting they can use.

I'm glad you took ursiel's advice, and I am only saying it as a friend because I don't want you feeling hassled cause people don't know why your stuff has outdated format lists specs.

Fair enough. Although I have tried to explain the reason for the restricted stuff in my recent posts it's been proving difficult because it's harder for me to explain it over Forums.
