Yeah vortex is a flavor card. He is my own card trooper when milling isnt an option.
I was considering it..and It would appear more and give me more play options. The faster the better. Any suggestions on drops?

This is an interesting debate. Personally, I think I fall on the side of "This deck sets up fields that people will be comfortable overextending into" rather than the "Vortex will help you win so much faster that it's worth the inherent risks associated with running it" opinion.
However, if you must have Vortex here, you could side the Giraffe as you considered before.

My personal opinion is that vortex can get me outta clogged hands..and into better options. and it nets me a draw.

I'm not for V Trooper as I've stated, but I like it as a one-of more than I like Giraffe without Cobra.

Giraffe might just become the other MAXX C

Giraffe might just become the other MAXX C I'm up for that since like I said earlier, I agree that Maxx "C" is really good in this deck since at worst it will act as an Upstart Goblin without giving your opponent +1000 LPs. And I run it at three in Chain Burn myself.

Giraffe might just become the other MAXX C This seems like the best option. Having Maxx is better than not having it in this deck, and all you need is for Vortex to be hit with effect negation without you already having enough to protect yourself in order to know why.

I'm sure I didn't read any such of what I'm about to say (I don't think I missed it but maybe?), but one more thing Vortex Trooper has going for it is the fact that you run Dimension Wall (and by association, all the other attack stoppers, but this one primarily). Effectively, in that situation, it's like a spell card with a surprise burn follow-up, but it also has the ability to go into DEF afterwards for a free attack block (and a drawn card).
If you fit one in, you may want to fit in another D-Wall (possibly unnecessary since you seem to be only wanting to run 1 VTrooper atm, and a 2-to-1 ratio is good enough for now).
