Just drop the Maxx "C" for Vortex Troopers.You're not using a deck that really needs to stop Ruler SSing. In fact, Chain Strike decks can use those important Chain Links to do Damage, and get the most out of Secret Barrel/Just Desserts and Ceasefire.
Drop one Yata for Accumulated Fortune. More draw, more cards for further chains.

Wattcobra is a stellar option for Chain Burn decks. I like the idea of Giraffe, just not without Cobra. Maybe 3 Cobra 1 Giraffe, or better yet a more refined take on that being 2 Cobra 1 Giraffe. Don't like Vortex Trooper at all really, and Maxx "C" is a great card since your opponent will summon into it and it can restock a depleted hand from linking into damage.

Vortex Stabilizes hands, and allows for some awesome plusses.
The single giraffe is an option. Im not too worried about many backup plays. Unless they are running bribe?!,7tools?!, Trap stun?!.
He might even be better sided
After alot of thought, im not sure I want to see the maxx C go anywhere, however..I do want the troopers. He fixes hands and nets you a draw. And who doesnt want to attack a 0atk monster?!

If I know its a burn deck- I don't. And Trap Stun is becoming more popular again thanks to Sixth Sense and Return.

Trap stun should be sided now, but that can easily be dealt with in burn. In theory. And Trap Stun has seen Main Deck play in some Dragon Ruler decks recently. Even as a one-of in the Main backed up with one in the Side. I guess Vortex Trooper is just something we will have to disagree on. There have been lots of Chain Burn decks to do work over the last few years, and I can't think of any of the successful ones that ran it, and that's not the only reason I don't like it. As a stand alone card, it does nothing for the strategy and forces you to play the game slower to not be wrong to maintain cards in hand, and/or takes spots away from quality cards that could be there. I'd say that ever since Cardcar D became a card, there really is no need. I guess it's best to say it's a flavor card of yours, and preference cards cannot be debated when one is in favor regardless. Have you thought about upping Maxx "C" to three? |
