Total: 40
Monsters: 27
3 Flame Spirit Ignis
3 Solar Flare Dragon
3 Volcanic Slicer
3 Laval Magma Cannoneer
3 Laval Volcano Handmaiden
3 Laval Forest Sprite
2 Fire King Avatar Kirin
2 Flamvell Baby
2 Flamvell Firedog
1 Guerillakite (would be Laval Lakeside Lady or another Baby right now)
1 Flamvell Poun
1 Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos
Spells: 10
3 Molten Conduction Field
3 Dark Room of Nightmare
1 Raigeki
1 Rekindling
1 Soul Charge
1 Foolish Burial
Traps: 3
3 Backfire
I would continue to call it "Ignis Turbo"... if it required Ignis to win. The aim is to deal piles of damage on my turn using Dark Room with my monster lineup, then dealing piles of damage on my opponent's turn using Dark Room with Backfire and my monster lineup. The Flare Lock is real, as all but six Main Deck monsters are Pyro. With Conduction Field, the Maiden String puts 500 damage in my grave for Ignis right away, regardless of Dark Room, Rekindling, Charge, or what have you.
The best part is that the deck can still play relatively aggro against weak hands, utilizing Baby for permanent boosts while fueling Ignis at the same time. I'm packing Blader and Ancient Flamvell Deity to increase the strong Baby targets, but anything can be used in a pinch. After all, Baby's a FIRE Tuner with 200 DEF.
I'm thinking about turning both Firedogs into Ceasefire. There's very much potential for them with Flare Locks and my recursion Spells as support. If I do that, Achacha Chanbara might even be justified here.
I feel like I'm missing something obvious that would make this deck better. Has anyone else used or seen this kind of deck before?
