I respectfully decline. Unless your actually giving funds or are doing this with people as a group raising funds it's just more of a way for people who "need" attention to get 5 seconds of someone else's time. I'm not going to be party to that kind of result.
I already donate to various charities annually, like the heart and stroke foundation, the IWK telethon (local thing), and to red cross, so I'm not going to do this. It is a good cause, it's just not one I can currently support.

I don't think those names were the "challengees" rather than just a way to tag people to see that link.

It is a good cause, it's just not one I can currently support. No one was actually challenging you dummy. And I did actually donate money in fact. Furthermore, before you dismiss this. I am pretty sure something like $41 Million has been raised for ALS charities so far. (I am not saying you SHOULD go donate, I am saying that you should not just dismiss this as a way to grab attention. Maybe it appears stupid, but it DOES work to raise both money, and awareness. I had never heard of ALS before this, and now I have.) I don't think those names were the "challengees" rather than just a way to tag people to see that link. This. Ragda nailed it. I am unsure as to what you mean.

Easy task to perform and make a video of. That is why. So? Is there an issue with that? Shadwen

Reminds me of how people claim a deck takes no skill until they actually pilot it. Or even people who are more dense and still won't think the deck takes skill because they only performed the easy combos while they didn't think outside of the box

It's meant to be rather quick and easy + raise awareness and cause people to donate. Which is is doing quite amazingly.

I am unsure as to what you mean. I thought you challenged me, via tag. ? I am dismissing the countless thousands dumping a bucket of ice water on themselves cause their friends told them to who DON'T donate. If you did you're not one of those people. The funds raised are worthwhile, as is the cause, but the act, if it has no donation behind it, is meaningless. I am glad you learned of ALS because of this, but so many others don't even know WHY they are getting soaked other than cause "so and so told me to" hell even people who should know better or have at least done research seem clueless. Do you know how many times overheard people say they are donating to the "ASL(American sign language), ACL(a muscle in your arm???), CSL(I have yet to even find what this could have been), and ACS(same as the last)" foundations when they really mean the ALS foundation? If you do something for a cause, make sure you know which one and can actually get it right on film. The Words count as much as the action. :/
