So, a character in Arc-V made me want to build this deck. Anyone have builds I could use for testing/reference?

theres various builds for various focuses. some focus on citrine, and use volvanic shells or fire hand to make the fire part and and garnet as the main gemknight, others focus on prismaura ahdn his psudeo DAD eff, using tourlmaine and amber to drop him out...and others still focus on the rocks, namely using alexandriadite and crystal for fast beefy beaters, and using zerconia's massive 2900 to finish plays. I personally like that route as it allows you to work with the rock stun components (KKM, dyna, other such fun stuff) to make a very high ATK deck with solid normal summons.
as for what the new current preferred build is, I dunno, but the deck is pretty flexible and customizable.

And then of course, there'll be a Gem-Knight RotA that can also fuse you monsters if you so wish.

Depends on your playstyle, the deck can go turbo or very methodical. To me it operates in a similar fashion as Gishki: A heavy dependence on a magic card.

Well, when that new RotA comes out, it'll be less so. Yes, GKF is still a pretty good card, but it no longer needs to rely on just those 3 copies of that card. Now there are 6 ways to Fuse.

HELLS NO! HEROS might not have buff fusions, HEROs have a ton more flexibility with using Super Poly.

HELLS NO! HEROS might not have buff fusions, HEROs have a ton more flexibility with using Super Poly. heros were a main character's deck of choice, have support spanning dozens of sets and YEARS of time between release and present day and while they have had good formats, they only really got decent with the completion of the omni hero options, when we had just light water and earth, they were not so special... I challenge you to argue that if gem-knights didn't get omni hero-style fusions (Gemknight+ a attribute) that they would not be equally or even more popular than current heros. your big fish have a bigger pond to look good in, in short.

made this in March, haven't play that much since. not sure how relevant it's now but i'd just replaced mirror force with emptiness for current format
(btw is there no upload image option?)

I doubt the Gem-Knights will ever get that popular even with the addition Omni-fusions. Majority of the Gem-Knight cards were released in sub-par HA sets. This arche-type carries the same stigma compared to what is available and proven in high level tournies. HEROS did have a great anti-meta deck when we just had The Shining.

You might want to lower the amount of mst based on the current decks playing: Endless spamming decks and HATs. One runs little backrow while the other, you don't want to destroy their backrow.
