Personally, Constellers have surprised me for more than a few wins this format.

Justice Prophecy. A LOT more consistent than the World build.

Barrier statues, masked hero's, but as far as consistent decks, I'd have to say constellars, and to a lesser degree fire fists. They are still pretty viable.

Constellars have really surprised a lot of people recently, as did Bujins not long ago even without all or their support.

Nothing really surprises me for the most part since we have so much information so long before it is truly relevant in the IRL game. I think individual cards choices are somewhat surprising, but if they are good they also make sense which steals some of the surprise. I have been surprised this format, though. There was a Calculator/Tiki Trap deck that topped a Regional not long ago at a "reputable" locale. That surprised me, and forced me to spend a week or so trolling peeps and thoroughly enjoying myself.

Sounds like something Burn would have done if he still played the physical game.

And then you can sometimes turn the "sometimes" monsters into Uria.

Harpies kind of surprised me. Not surprised that so many people picked up the deck after Joey's World, but that the archetype is actually competitive.

I can't wait to get the rest of my Harpies. Really want to play that deck.

Harpie wasn't a surprise for me, the deck is actually decent and has plays, it just so happens that a lot of BKs pick up the deck. It definitely takes a higher skill level to play correctly.

I would like to see more of the stun/less strong builds tech a copy of Myrmeleo and some Trap Holes.

I'm debating on making a deck to use Myrmeleo and an Atrax or 2. Treacherous will be one of my targets, just because it can get searched out now. Maybe mix with Ninjas just because Golden can pitch the dead traps to SS other Ninjas.

Ewww, no. Don't do that. Treacherous Trap Hole would be terrible in this kind of deck. The Trap line-up will be too beefy and you will rarely ever resolve it. It's basically down to you have to open it and have it be the first Trap you resolve.
