Some may of heard of me and many probably have not. I have taken a break from the game for the better part of four years as work and home issues had increasingly become more and more overwhelming.
Recently things have quite readily settled down in my life and I've decided to put a little more extra time back into playing the game I've always loved the most. I had still spent some rare late-night spare time into playing yu-gi-oh! video games for entertainment and nostalgia's sake over the years, however little voices in the back of my head still whispered "let's buy some new cards. build some new decks" or " you're so far behind on your rulings comprehension, that you'll never come back to this game".
The past few months I've given in to those voices and have really enjoyed all the catching up and reading. I have to admit that it still does get a little frustrating when I run into a rulings dispute and can't remember something that was easily common knowledge to me in years past, but as the old addage goes... it's like riding a bike.
Started playing the game back in the late 90's and as much as I love to play, I also am just as interested in judging tournaments and have been a judge since the games arrival in the states. In years past, I spent the majority of my time posting on tcgplayer.com, mostly in the rulings section. I also frequented other sites, but that site was my main home. I met a lot of great people there that I still hold in high regard. When I was told about this site, I was excited to hear about it. Unfortunately I forgot about it until I stumbled upon it by accident and it couldn't of happened at a better time as I have gotten more involved in the game and judging again. I've already saw quite a few familiar usernames that I respect.
I still do work quite a bit and won't be on as much as I'd probably like, but I can say that I'll stop in often and will always offer my help, knowledge or opinion when asked. I like what has become of the game both in mechanics and terminology and am excited to see more...
