Been blanking on all of this. Have a deck idea revolving around Harpies, Spirits, and Chain Summoning. Want to see how I can create unorthodox chains.
1) Harpies' Hunting Ground is on the field. I Normal Summon Dancer, Activate effect targeting a wind on the field, Normal Summon another from my hand. If I targeted another Harpie Monster, does Harpie Hunting Ground then form Chain Link 1 or does this even occur?
2) If Summon Nikitama is sent to grave for the effect to draw one activates, can I chain to this and form more chains with things like Reckless Greed or Spirit of Yata Garasu?
3) Harpie Channeler activates effect, Harpies' Hunting Ground on field does summon from Channeler form Chain 1, Harpies' Hunting Ground Chain 2?

1) Normal summon Dancer. Hunting Ground activates and destroys a card. Activate Dancer, return another wind, normal summon a Harpie from hand. Hunting Ground activates on a new Harpie summon and would be chain link 1. There would need to be another effect to form chain link 2 here. Hunting Ground activates whenever a Harpie is Normal or Special summoned. Dancer normal summons a Harpie. I don't understand why you had to ask this as you made this play on me when you used Harpies against me, you obviously know the answer to this question. 2) I'm unsure what you mean by "Summon Nikitama" as Nikitama does not need to have used it's effect to summon, be summoned, or be sent from field to activate it's effect to draw. However, if you're asking if the effect to draw starts a chain, yes, it can. It's a tigger effect so you can chain to it. Unlike Maxx "C" which sets up a continuous effect that just happens after it's initial activation. 3) Hunting Ground will not be chain link two here. The second Harpie being summoned is the resolution of Channeler's effect. Hunting Ground would start a new chain, not add to an old one. You would need an outside effect to form a second chain link. Hopefully that answer's your question. Your wording is a bit... hazy, so I may not have answered what you were actually asking. I also may not have answered correctly. ragda how'd I do?

We should make it a rule to have card texts or links to them somewhere, since we don't have a card database attached to this site for quick reference. Had to go here to see them (but you can use wikia links too, I'd just prefer this): www.db.yugioh-card.com/yugiohdb/Nikitama indeed triggers so it activates and adds a Chain Link. Hunting Ground indeed triggers after the summon occurs, not when an effect that summons activates, etc. It will rarely be Chain Link 2+ unless there are other mandatory effects revolving around summons. Looks like you did well enough Drill!
