It seems like a strong list in terms of killing E~Dragons, however from a player's perspective I do not find any thrill in dealing with annoying decks. More so the idea of 4 ban list per year is wonderful however this format seems to lack "quality". Regarding your ban list I do not agree with Shock Master, such a card is poison to the game.

It is the "pure" or "true" Dragon ruler deck needs to be killed, it is way too dominate IMO and I am sick of seeing it win everything. I just don't see hitting the main monsters directly, they are great tool box cards. If they become an issue later in the next format then Konami should deal with them directly.
Ravine needs to be semi (don't fully take away a key toy for Dragunity or BEWD decks), Sacred Sword of the Seven Stars should be limited, and Return for the different dimension should be banned.
Stratos is not coming back, way too good with CotH and Pinpoint Guard around.
Same goes for Number 16, even limited it causes too many problems.
I am actually liking the limit on the traps, it made things very interesting. Only card I want back off the list is Monster Reborn.

the rulers intention was toolboxing, but their very wording of allowing dragons or their element to be the source of their summon has become their undoing. Instead of their intended purpose and being costly but fair (pot of avarice, future fusion, ect.....) they have become bastardized into little better than "why wait to bring the hate?" much how chaos dragons did to future fusion, and wind-ups to pot of avarice.
Sadly it's their time to take the fall, since they have had 2 formats, albeit 1 was shortened by a third from the previously normal 6 month-period.

I can see the reasoning behing lefting the big dragons at 3. But let's face it... the deck needs some speed to avoid trouble with those bad hands... will they have enough if we take Sacred Swords out? I guess that everyone would shift to the Blue-eyes version... So... yeah, I guess that they need some touching into the banning list.

Ravine @2, Swords @1, RftDD @0. Yoh I am not sure about the element cost is a problem. Fire Fists, Dragunity, Mermails, and I have even seen earth based Six Samurai decks all are making use of the big guys.

It's funny to see so many cards that were just hit back on that list as changes. Don't think that will be what happens.

Its also rare that Konami sees a decision they made for the prior list as something that really needs to be reversed so soon.

Its also rare that Konami sees a decision they made for the prior list as something that really needs to be reversed so soon. ^^ Prime example is how long it took for them to bump Agent Earth and Striker back up from 1 each. Especially since the format they were limited for had already made Agents obsolete.
