Uhm, it'd scale you back down to the LV 50 thing anyways. Of course, if you intended to do LV100 battles, by all means!

IIRC they do count the extra boosts you receive from the EV/IV when they scale your poke back to lv 50. Meaning your poke will be stronger than it was when it was originally @ that level.

I don't think so. The EVs and IVs are fully realized at LV 100, so 252 in a stat gives an additional 63 on that stat, and 31 IVs an additional 31. At Level 50, that number is merely halved (it's a percentage thing at any level). The only thing I don't know is if it rounds up or down, probably down. So basically , with the same EVs and IVs, you'd have about 31 added due to EVs and 15 added from IVs. Whether you gained more stats because of them at higher levels shouldn't affect how many you're supposed to have at LV 50. Unless of course you have something to say otherwise (can't say I researched the opposite viewpoint).

Basically they do count the EV/IV when you are leveled down for online battles. So it makes sense to raise to Lv 100 to get these boosts when you compete online. Of course power doesn't mean anything if you don't have a strategy to go along with it.

HUZZAH!
What's Emerald gonna be? Gamma? Episilon?
Either way, I'm pumped. New game = new megas at the very least, and those cover arts imply Groudon and Kyogre will get one.

I am not sure they will do Emerald.
They still have to to do Z version.
We usually don't get the third version on remakes. Usually they take stuff from the third version and put it into the remake games, there was a lot of Crystal influences in HGSS versions.
Hopefully they keep the Team bases separate like they did in Emerald, and bring back the Battle Frontier. Those were the two of the best additions to the 3rd gen games from Emerald.
I just realized the orbs you get in the game they could be the mega stones for the Legendaries.

They haven't done the third game remakes for any gen, only added the stuff to the base games. I doubt this one will be any different.

My thoughts exactly. Although I am curious as to what they'll name the remakes of Diamond and Pearl.

May have to wait for gen 7 before those hit. Still think Gen 1 deserves a 3DS remake. Maybe instead of just doing the Gen 4 games in Gen 7, maybe do a remake on the 3rd versions of gen 1 (Yellow) and 4 (Platinum).

Yeah, if they continue the pattern. I must say your Platinum/Yellow idea sounds interesting. Not likely, but interesting.

I really don't want to replay Diamond and Pearl with platinum additions to the game, when I could just be playing Platinum. Would be epically cool if they remade Yellow version. They could easily bring back the pokemon following you in both those games. Plus getting all of the gen 1 starters in one game is epic.
