replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-107763970I have been losing a lot recently. I think it's the way I predict things and the weighed distribution of my pokemons (How important my pokemon is in terms of winning). I had a really good battle earlier but I lost and I didn't want to share it because I really didn't think I would lose. I kept out-predict him and he ended up with Skarmary and Gengar while I had Venusaur, Dragonite, and Heatran. Eventually the Heatran died as well as his Skarmary. Then his Gengar was able to clean up. Edit: I probably was able to win this one because I kind of predicted his Gliscor when I used Will-O-Miss. On top of that, there was really no consequence for me to go for Will-O-Miss, so I went for it.

Just finished a playthrough on Y. Only used one Hyper Potion due to a Hammer Arm miss. The rest were OHK. Here's the final team.
Greninja (Shiny) Lv 77 Hydro Pump, Surf, Water Shuriken, Night Slash
Chestnaught Lv 76 Spiky Shield, Seed Bomb, Wood Hammer, Hammer Arm
Delphox Lv 76 Psyshock, Fire Blast, Mystical Fire, Psychic
Luxray Lv 76 Discharge, Crunch, Thunder Fang, Wild Charge
Metagross Lv 76 Meteor Mash, Psychic, Hammer Arm, Bullet Punch
All were holding Luck Incense to finance post game breeding. As you can see I left a spot open and didn't use any moves that are highly effective against Dragons. I thought it would make things more interesting especially since I wasn't using mega evolutions. I was wrong. Still too easy.
I decided to use all the Kalos starters just because I had never done that before. I'm thinking about training the other starters and taking them against the elite four in reverse order thus ending with the Kanto starters..

All were holding Luck incense, you could also use the amulet coin.
And you could easily finance yourself if you were grinding @ the Battle Chateau, plus using the prize money O-Power and have the Gold writ in effect.
^ this is what I used.
Really need to choose what I want to have on my Story team for X. Right now it is Talon Flame or Charizard. Water will be Greninja. Got to look over what Electric, Grass, and others I want to use.

Didn't really think of it. Anywho I have more than enough Pokécash to start breeding and my goal of taking every starter to the elite 4 should allow me to continue. Speaking of which the plan has evolved, I will also be training them up to level 100. I could breed you a Shinx or Emolga.

Black Writ will become useful as well for when you are breeding AND training them up. Just be sure to have your main attacking pokemon to be basically LV 100, since every pokemon you'll see be bumped up 20 levels.
Very cool you had a Shiny Greninja to work with. Any of the starters bred at all?

They were all breed in X and transferred over to Y. Most have perfect IVs.

Oh I see, nice! So you bred a shiny Greninja with pretty awesome stats, that's always cool! Move diversity thankfully isn't needed for in-game battles, because we can switch freely unlike against other ppl.
If you wanted a bit of difficulty, you should've tried turning off that option.

I would, but I rarely switch out as it is.

I did Shinx in Diamond version, it did its job well enough. Emolga is meh, I like pokes that evolve on my story team. I use to do that, but after Ruby I started to get lazy. Now I normally raise 'em to level 70.

Since most online interactions just scale them to LV 50, I don't see much point in going past that, except for needing moves or the guy hasn't evolved yet.
