I stay away from Tier labeling as well. It's just one of the many fan wank words that gets over used and has zero bearing on the game. I prefer Good/Average/Bad. And I don't even like that that much.

Actually Tiers were originally used to list decks that had the most utility/options. The most plays..and were able to overcome certain situations. It was distorted over the years

Tier 0: Ancient Grizzled Trent: The Elder God of the Eternal Forest - Turbo Tier 1: Decks that are piloted by consistent players and are very popular, thus top events very frequently. Tier 2: Decks that are piloted by fewer players, but still have enough of a following to top occasionally. Tier 3: Decks that players are scared to take to qualifiers. Often used by more casual players. Tier 4: Joke decks, and those that very few people play. What's cool about the tier system is that nobody actually agrees on what it means. I don't really understand what you mean. Shouldn't it say "Decks that are consistent and piloted by good players" rather that "Decks that are piloted by consistent players"?

It was distorted over the years I know why they were originally used, but that doesn't make them any less irrelevant since if you are good at your game, care to be informed, you should know where decks stand. But don't mind me, I am anti-every buzz word. Instead of players sounding intelligent, they just wind up sounding like that kid who saw Like A Boss, and used that phrase 83.6612 times a minute, LOLOL.

Probably as often as someone brings it up. More than that, actually. Then he's just going out of his way to say it then.

This will help us with a base structure to work off of. It will also allow some players to design their side decks or mains to counter said decks. Thank you guys for your input so far.

LOL right now the only way to build your side is to not get raped by Rulers variants. And try to make as many of those cards useful against other decks as well.

Ideally you should be building a Side Deck for the deck that presents the most problems for yours. So maybe add something in the OP about the current decks and what can be used to Side against them since that is infinitely more useful than labeling decks.

LOL Rulers are just a pain in the ass right now. Then again while I have the only deck at my locals, I only use it for casual play or for those that want practice against it. Its already at that point in the format where I'd rather play decks I'm having fun with.
