New card game on the block! Just came out this weekend, with a pre-release party all over Canada and US (mainly US) in a bunch of stores. I volunteered at one in Toronto to help both learn the game for myself and other folks who were interested. I had a great time, and I think the game has potential.
Just awaiting actual release in my immediate area so I can finally get it started around here. I wouldn't want to go too far just for an earlier chance at getting it going here, so I'm just biding my time.
Anyways, if this takes off, at least there's a thread here about it. I also know a fair bit of the game mechanics, though I have not yet spoiled myself of the current booster setlist. I will eventually, then after getting more games under my belt with the starter decks, I can start coming up with new decks.

No takers eh? I for one haven't played it as much, but for the few times I have it has been rather refreshing to have a different kind of objective in a card game. It's not about reducing the opponent to some figure, but beating the opponent at accumulating points via a variety of methods in the game. I keep up with groups that deal with the card game intently to passively take in strategies, ideas, card discussions and learning the game both in the basic and advanced sense all at the same time.
Anyone else looking into this since I last posted about it?

I've seen a couple guys at my locals try it out right after it came out, it was different. I'm just not interested in the show/game/community to try it out.

Fair enough, different strokes for different folks. It definitely appeals to me as a nice alternative card game that happens to be based on another one of my interests, so obviously it was something worth looking into, even if I won't be playing it too often (at least right away).

I can see that, the TCG is in its infancy and may not be easy to find other players in your area.

I can see that, the TCG is in its infancy and may not be easy to find other players in your area. I will know soon enough how many do play around the local area... I know that it's gotten a decent playerbase in other nearby cities, including the one where I went to the pre-release party of. An upcoming gaming convention right in my city will be the prime opportunity to do demos and find other players about. I'm relatively speaking a newb myself, but I at least have covered the basics, only lacking experience and a more extensive rulings and card knowledge because I haven't gotten into it as much yet. At the very least though, I'll be happy enough to play it some more again.
