These are some changes I was thinking you guys could do or look into to make the site not look so cluttered and look better over all.
Teams/Clans and Tournaments could essentially be one section, not sure why it's divided into two.
Does the youtube part really deserve its own section? Couldn't it get its own thread in Media & Entertainment. You guys don't really need entire sections for such a small amount of stuff.
Yugioh Rants could be in Misc YGO instead of it's own section, I don't really think it deserves it's own section.
Guidelines doesn't need it's own section.
Not sure why Article Discussion has it's own section as well
You have a section for Introductions and Goodbyes but it's only got the Member Biographies subsection, this could be moved too another Subsection and the section cut entirely.
Competitive Corner and Srategies/Sequences could potentially be the same section, but that's up for debate really. If they were condensed into one section, you could cut Advanced Theory-Oh all together.

I'm posting this as if anyone is going to take off their rose colored glasses and take advice where it's due, but whatever.
This free forum was released as a "beta" in place of something more intuitive based on what was written at the start of this project. The issue is why release a beta when it is less than half baked?
If you are planning on setting up a paid forum, migrating is something that 99% of members will not want to do because that will mean starting over and re-creating topics for the sake of introducing activity. Setting up your own forum, including using your own servers is not something that seems possible, given the way the administration has handled the launch of this idea in the first place. Long story short: it was a bad idea to put out a free forum in place of one more permanent, you should have started when the forum was ready, IF that is what you had in mind.
My guess is that the forum aspect of the site is going to remain here because migrating members and asking them to start topics again is not going to go very well.
Now, forum moderators, something I always have a penny to lend to. Recruiting such a large amount of staff is going to result in lack of usefulness and general inactivity, inactive positions are not only a bad public image, but they are a safety risk, see TCGplayer's history. Maybe pick your staff more meticulously, ones that KNOW how to get the job done and will remain active, this way you won't be disappointed and no harm will be done.
If things are simply left as they are/ignored, this will simply become the same as all of the spin-off forums that spawned from TCGplayer. Team Underworld and all of the other subsidiary forums are more or less inactive with only a handful of members posting between each other, this place is the same at the current point. If you ignore the blatant issues, it's only going to stay that way.
I'm done.

I will be able to purchase this forum and have this be the forum on the new site. The other suggestions are Awesome. This is what we need. Honesty.
This being the beta is a working forum. Which means we are working to make this look proper.

All of this will be done before I head out for the night, and as much as I can to streamline the forum as much as possible. EDIT: Did all of it, and a few more things following along with your logic. MasterHelpo - I'm sorry you feel the way you do, but I assure you that there is no one wearing rose-coloured glasses. We take all suggestions with equal consideration and know that during this building time, we have to everything we can to create a community everyone feels apart of and has a say in. The original plan was to have a clean, well built and custom forum to work with before launch. That particular idea wasn't coming to. Building it became an unneeded distraction, and when the development team discussed this as a group, a free forum we can then buy and build on top of was a much easier and all around better idea. With ProBoards, we can build on top of what we already have, and never have to shut down. Merely perform updates, adding more layers to the already built infrastructure. We thought of the problems with migrating again and knew this was a better option. What we originally wrote and planned changed. We mentioned it in our Facebook Group, and it was well received. So we went ahead with it. As for Staff, outside of our Admin's, whether in the case of Levski whose building our mainsite or Kelly, whose preparing to be lead editor for our Writing Staff, we added too many. Myself, Dawson and Richard have talked about this and we're likely going to be stepping down a portion of the staff who are not contributing and giving the remaining staff more tasks outside of being just a Moderator. So I agree with you there, and have already begun working on this. I assure you, things will not be left as they are, and even though these have been a few hard weeks for all of us outside of the community, we will change things for the better. Because you are right, and I'm more than willing to admit it.

I just realized, we do not have an area where we could write articles just as what we did in the TCG player in the past. Articles involving state of the meta game or decks, basically ones individuals write and not those who worked for the TCG site.

Please stop necro posting things, you could have easily posted in the Forum Clean-up thread or started a new thread altogether.
