Welcome to the Official Psychic Discussion Thread!
Psychics: Mind Bending Freaks of Power and...wait no...They have gone from a simple sychro spam..to a more complex synchro spam. With a few nice additions to their powerset..they have a strong chance to succeed.
Variants:
Redox Psychics Grandsoil Psychics Pure Breed Axon

Hmm, I haven't really thought about this deck since they lost Mind Master. I know there was the Grandsoil thing, but that was a fairly meh deck that was just one of those flash in the pan kind of things.

It was actually viable. Allowing you to quickly drop big beaters, have outs and be a new synchro toolbox.

Grandsoil Psychics was a good build, but the biggest thing it had going for it was surprise and its pilot. Once it did well the pilot dropped it and many netdeckers picked it up only to do poorly with it because they had not spent the time to learn the deck as well. Poor plays followed and many dropped it.
The banish Psychics still have one of the most annoying monster cycles I have ever had the displeasure to play against.

Jones himself said the best quality about the deck was that no one knew about it, or what it did. The deck was good enough to surprise people, but when it couldn't it did what other average or below decks do: fade away.

I believe it still has a chance.
With redox and such, it has some decent power plays..some nice floater plays..and even creature swap being mained will set it up for success

It has a huge amount of monster recursion for sure with those additions, just will take a proper build and surprise again.

There are a lot of decks that have the potential to do something.

Lets focus on the topic at hand guys. How can we help psychics prevail?
Are there any new tech cards we could use?
Any newish builds?

This is the last bit of new support for the archetype specifically, but I haven't thought too much about it.

I think its something that could actually be a lot of fun, especially if Synchros or Noble Knights truly pick up in popularity. Dark Highlander is a great card, and is far easier to summon thanks to Genomix.

It gives us options to some good plays. It would mostly be used for lvl 5-7s..

It can also hit 10, and that means the potential game ending Trident Dragion can be used as well.

um, doesn't fighter walk right into overmind? (lv 3 who converts non psychics into psychics?)
I've messed aroudn with the banish psychics a bit, and I like them, but they really need a re-focusing with new tech by someone with a less busy mind. there is something there (with genomix, redox, leviair, hootcake, ect...) I just don't have the interest to forge it.
