Just gonna toss out that Thrasher is pretty much a dead card once you've started getting the Lead Yokes on board. Best time to have it is Turn 1, and while Goblindbergh serves a similar function it can eat effect nagation away from other things you would prefer to go through.

Size matters: berg's attack factor when alone is dismal, thrasher runs over 1900 monsters. big boon for the deck "Lone wolf" vs "the side kick": Again, when alone berg is bad, when alone or with people thrash ain't so bad. Brothers in arms, just some brothers carry bigger arms: sure you can argue once yoke is out thrash isn't useful, but he also ensures if they CED/beat through yoke I can make a play in short order for a recovery(into utopia) or to st up a soft lock (gandiva) or just to swing for game (excal). I'm willing to risk the odd times he's truly useless vs the times he waits to save my ass after my beater get's wrecked. fair point on eating effect negation, but even then most times people just wait for the XYZ's I play to veiler anyway.

Np. Also why no Sparrer in the main? It doesn't affect the BP if you wait to SS him til MP2.

It sounds bad but it allows recovery plays as well. Sometimes you just won't want to do more summons with a Lead Yoke already on field, and this could get you that second monster to Xyz with Headgeared too.

This goes back to the thrasher issue: sparrer if used before hand effectively ends my plays, thrash IS used beforehand to extend my plays. If I can XYZ AND attack, I tend not to need to recover, since my backrow and XYZ's tend to cover themselves. I want to like sparrer, just he's let me down a lot. :/

Sounds like the card just doesn't like how you use him. I always had issues with Counterpunch.

I've had the displeasure of (even with only 1 in deck) opening him and nothing to pair it with. Or solid s/t and then draw him on turn 2, leaving me open for the most part a second time.

Hmmm. This looks really weak. Battlin' Boxer over 40 is just wrong. And lots of cards like Xyz Reborn, Pinpoint Guard, Hiita, and BTS that really just steal functionality from the deck.

I'm new to boxers so I'm open to suggestions, but pinpoint and reborn have worked well for me so far. What changes would you suggest?

Look at my Discussion on MTCG, I think the list I stopped developing to move on is there in it. I feel it's the best the deck can get at this point.
