I notice a few people are pushing for Shira alot more than the traditional plant builds. However I have yet to play test them due to Finals. For now I'm banking on your opinions, more so Anduril I agree Crane Crane is the best method we have.
I'M SO FREAKING MAD Meliae of the Trees JUMP IN PRICE I ONLY HAVE 1 COPY ... Sometimes I hate this game so *** much.

I'm glad I got her when I did. The hit on Redox and Debris seem to have hurt my Crane Plants more than I originally anticipated. It just doesn't seem to work with the same consistency. Or the same flexibility.

As I mention on the first post on this thread, Redox plants are practically dead. The deck lost too much, regarding a free gigaplant into any other plant.

I think normal Crane Plants is the way to go. The Shinara archtype is cute but for me just doesn't have enough going for it. Indeed. But the archetype has been extremely fulfilling through testing since it is a breath of fresh air. New Mechanics generally are. The deck just needs Konami time.

That a nice way of saying they need 1 broke ass card to get everyone playing it?

Currently testing this version of Meliae/Crane plants. Really wishing there was a legal level 1 Psychic tuner though.

Plants already fear Maxx "C", but this like whoa.

I still haven't done too many SS in a single turn, then again I haven't been able to get the testing I want to do done with this.

Well let's just look generically:
One of the best/most consistent plays the deck will have will be: Crane Crane (Maxx "C" is chained here) You Special Level 3 (+0) If you are ahead in advantage you could stop, but will most likely need to make some form of play; after all Crane Crane is the play maker of the deck. So you special (+1) You are not running Zenmaines, so your options are limited here. Make a weak and fruitless Angineer, or Meliae which will feed Maxx "C" more.
Lonefire is a 1-1
Teleport forces you to go neg, or lose resources. So generically it's a +1
Etc, etc. Most of the plays for this deck just seem to require you be in best case scenario mode, even if not under Maxx "C", especially since your main defensive Traps are Mirror Force. This just gets taken advantage of if you are forced to hit the brakes.
But.... then again, until Sylvan get here, this is what Plant players have to look forward to, unless of course you are playing the Dragon variant since it gives you solid plays to bait out Maxx "C" with.

Like I said, I hadn't even got the testing I wanted done with it yet either. Had like 1 game with it, and a poor hand. Lonefire into a princess was the best I had done so far. I've also seen a drop in mained Maxx "C" for next format testing since most of what is the expected top decks are Bujin, Fire Fist/King, still Constellar, and a few others. Most of which will not start a string of SS effects like plants or dragons do. Once a format starts to solidify I could see them being mained again if things move that way, but I doubt it.

Sure, I'd say the most common trend ATM is Fiendish Chain/Effect Veiler. And these could be seen as more detrimental since they leave you open without an option to even make a holding play. Maxx "C" will see play, though.

Nice to see things are moving forward on the plant thread =] Otherwise, does anyone know what are the top meta decks yet ? I haven't been in the game much.
