Hey, I'm Nathaniel, known as Crimson King or Sunlit Fallen (my gaming name). I had no idea that the name Crimson King was from Stephen King's Dark Tower series when I created it. Originally I had thought it up as the "Crimson Dragon" from 5D's and "King of Games" combined, it was only after people started pointing it out to me that I made the connection.
I was raised a homeschooler (and a huge Lego fan), and am currently a student at SUNY-ESF (Student Univeristy of New York - Environmental Studies and Forrestry), working to become a landscape architect. Mostly its just designing things and a lot of PR rolled all into one package. Once I graduate I'm going to get my masters in Landscape Architecture as well as Architecture so I'll be more qualified in a firm. I'm a year and a half in to a five year program here, so wish me luck and we should see me graduate in no time! I'm a rather reclusive person, not to say I am not outgoing, but I tend to be more reserved than not. I like to observe things and see what happens, how it works and such. I am fascinated by psychology, how people think and make choices. (Playing chess all my life may or may not be the reason behind this). My tendency to be the silent observer does carry over to the forums, so feel free to drag me into conversations!
I've been playing yugioh since about 2006. I started out playing random junk decks as a hobby with freinds, then picked up on Ancient Gears and fell in love with them. Since then I've become much more of a competitive player. I don't like meta decks all that much, I prefer decks that are considered lower tier simply because I like the challenge of building and piloting them well enough to win in the competitive scene.
The current decks I run:
Aliens (Xyz veriant) - My main deck
Ancient Gears
Morphtronics
I also like Watts and Batterymen, but I've never actually gotten around to finishing the decks.
We didn't have a TV or computer while I was growing up until I was about ten or eleven. For the most part all I had was my Gameboy and Pokemon cards during my childhood, and of course Legos. When we did finally get a TV my mom would always drag us kids in to watch 7th Heaven what felt like every day of the week. Eventually I discovered what a neat place the internet was, joined TCGplayer (Where I first became a moderator) and now I am here! To give you an idea of my other interests;
TV shows that I like:
Masterpiece Theater's Sherlock Holmes
Doctor Who
Star Trek
Anime that I like:
Ergo Proxy
Gankutsuou the Count of Montey Cristo
Heat Guy J
Code Geass
Darker than Black
Blassreiter
I love alterative rock, and have tons of different songs that I like, but in particular my two favorite bands are:
Cryoshell
Evanescence
My other hobbies consist of playing Halo, Minecraft/Terraria when I can get friends to join, and Pokemon (I still need to get X and Y!), as well as fixing my car every time something breaks. At 240+ thousand miles on it, and almost as old as I am, I probably wont have to fix it much longer.
I also love cooking and creating unorthodox dishes. My most recent creation is a Mexican ramen, which is still a work in progress. Hopefully I'll smooth it out and will grace the forums with its recipe at some point.
I'm also the head Trade Moderator here on TCGR, so stop reading this and get over to the trade section and start trading!
Feel free to ask me any questions!
