I wish I can get Gellenduos. Surprised those things haven't been reprinted.
Anyways, you could look into maybe trying Solidarity over Vandy? Just a random idea.
As for the choice of Counter Traps, you seem to have a good suite there. Have you tried:
- Negate Attack
- Seven Tools of the Bandit (at least sided)
- Destruction Jammer

Negate attack only stops attacks, yeah it gets me draws, but it doesn't stop anything else. Rather keep the my opponents monsters off the field rather than stopping their attacks with out destroying them.
7 tools I probably will keep in the side. Destruction Jammer is another card I will consider for the side.
Solidarity seems interesting, but I want Vandy in this. Maybe a 1:1 ratio.

try swallow flip, it'll pair nicely to POTR and it will trigger vandy effects unlike DDO, and is good summon hate.

Seriously though, I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets some serious mileage out of Drastic Drop Off. It's Card Advantage 101 when paired with Artemis, and even thought it doesn't give you Vandy, it does give you the draws that may turn your other Traps into Vandy, as you saw! Swallow Flip is definitely a good idea, but I'm thinking another Black Horn would be a more helpful card. Is Mind Control just in there for Xyz options and Herald Tuning? |

Yeah Mind Control is in there for Xyz options, and Herald is also for Synchros.
3 Black Horn is a maybe. Right now I haven't concluded testing it @ 2.
Swallow Flip looks more like side tech. Only activates when a effect monster's effect is activated when it is special summoned. It seems very limited in the scope of current things.

Swallow Flip hits Horse Prince, Rooster, Black Rose, some Mermails, etc. It's up to you, obviously, but it's a nice one-of mained...
