Here's a deck that's been through a few revisions and has gone back and forth two main variants, but I still like how the deck is despite the collateral damage received by way of the banlist hitting some major players in the deck. Part of the deck's existence is owing to my legacy with WATER as a deck, which I've gone through several ideas of in the past (I miss old Rusty), but most of the deck are generally new cards in comparison. Without further ado, here's the re-emergence of the deck from the depths!
Rise of the Atlanteans [Slushy Nimble Frogs] (40 Cards):
Monsters (37):
3 Poseidra the Atlantean Dragon
2 Atlantean Marksman
3 Atlantean Heavy Infantry
1 Atlantean Dragoons
2 Legendary Atlantean Trigon
1 Deep Sea Diva
3 Swap Frog
3 Dupe Frog
3 Ronintoadin
2 Sea Lancer
3 Nimble Sunfish
3 Nimble Manta
2 Nimble Angler
2 Dragon Ice
1 Tidal, Dragon Ruler of Waterfalls
3 Slushy
Spells (3):
1 Salvage
1 Dark Hole
1 Foolish Burial
Side/Extra Deck:
Tentative (you could consider what's on the screenshot as a starting point, though by no means are they final/optimal)
The main has bounced around having the Nimble Fish engine and not. The main con of having them is the lack of protection, and this build is in a bit of a transition where I'm still tweaking ratios so I can eventually get stuff like Gorz, Trag, and such cards in. The main con of NOT having them is that the plays are a bit less impactful. Anglers make each discard a Rank 2 summon, Sunfishes also help retain field presence, they all feed Tidal summons as well, etc.
The deck can also afford to be more than 40 cards, as the deck can easily thin itself out (provided I open the MVP, Swap Frog, which I guess having more cards makes that harder... catch 22). The deck does miss multiple Tidals and access to Stream, since they help fuel Rank 7 plays and pitch cards out of my hand. Oh well, I guess losing that so I don't face DerpDragons is something I can live with.
