It's easy to get a single celestia off. Lightsworns tend to defend themselves on the field because of their ability to gain advantage with the use of cheezy cards like Necro Gardna, threatening roar, and honest. That said I do think rota would be a great fit in the deck, because I personally am in love with Garoth and it pains me that it's only viable to run one. Since that is the case I like to have as many ways to tutor him as possible. Also I do think the deck needs more natural defense to survive. By that I mean either gardna's or something like trag or even fader. My experience with the deck has always been that people playing against me start going hard as fast as they can because they want to either kill you before you start looping JD/Strong Extra Deck cards every turn, or because they want to establish a board state that can ignore JD. You need something to sit behind reliably because I find the deck can actually be pretty slow if you don't open up with a solar recharge. It can be. Thankfully, Raiden kind of fixes that. I'm good with the one Gardna (kycoo is a thing right now, remember that), Gorz, and 2 Roar. It's between Rota, and Dark Hole, bearing in mind it will be a field heavy format. The question is, what is the optimal choice? More removal, or additional search?

That definitely seems like one of those questions that requires heavy testing of both options. Although the amount of mill could also skew results. :\

Well like most things in card games it ultimately comes down to play style. There is no absolute way to say "this is better" and prove it so you have to play what you feel the best playing, but really I think gardna is one of the best cards the deck has. I realize cards like kycoo are a thing, but I also realize that gardna is a way to deal with Kycoo just as well as kycoo is a way to deal with gardna. I also kind of agree with whoever mentioned they didn't like plague. The ability to access mist wurm is nice, but I feel like there might be a better way to alter the deck for access using raiden. Anyway I'm glad you posted this, LS are one of my long time favorite decks and I haven't been keeping up with the game as much lately so I didn't know they were getting new cards, I'll definitely look into this more.

I would probably lean towards Dark Hole then. I can never get enough of killing off every monster my opponent puts on board.

That is always a pain when trying to build for new releases.

That is always a pain when trying to build for new releases. Indeed. Also have to wait and see what Ferris, Lightsworn Archer does (praying it's a LS specific Honest). If it's worthwhile, I need to rebuild the deck entirely.

Crap on toast if its an Honest-like card. I would want to pick them up again.

Crap on toast if its an Honest-like card. I would want to pick them up again. Well, according to YGOrganization's sources, it's a 4 star beast-warrior tuner with a Wulf-like effect. We don't know it's stats, or if it does anything else just yet. If I were to guess, 1900 ATK/200 DEF end phase mill 2-3 that you can normal summon. So, a slightly better version of Wulf. Mind you, this is just speculation, so we'll have to wait and see.

That sounds far too good for the deck. Especially since I hated drawing into Wulf.

That sounds far too good for the deck. Especially since I hated drawing into Wulf. One can hope. If that is the case, I'm pre-ordering the LS stuff from Legacy of the Valiant (provided they are inserts, which they likely will be). Probably going to run me near $300, but it'll be worth every penny.

If it's like Wulf, which seems to be where it's leaning, it won't mill anything. And it will probably have the no Normal Summon clause. Which would all make sense.
