Current thoughts are to remove 2 PoD and Dichotomy for 2 Fiendish Chain and 1 Mind Control. Any opinions?

Sounds a solid idea. From the duels I've seen this deck could use the effect negation. Badly.

lol Thanks for the input. Now do you think that it would do to up the effect negation by replacing the Scarecrows with Veilers?

How much do you find yourself needed to block a direct attack via scarecrow? If its a ton I would keep scarecrow, but if you aren't doing it that much I'd say pull in veilers over them.

So far its either been to block little hits or for the first time last night against a BW swarm. I think I'll try with the heavy negation for a bit and keep the Scarecrows to the side in case.

I'd go with one or the other. Can't really see the functionality in running both Chain and Veiler. I'd just go with three of either, since that would be "heavy" in itself.

I'm trying the 2 and 2, mostly cause each can be used for more than just effect negation in other situations. Extra tuner or attack prevention have both come in handy already.

It always worked well when I had the grave for it, but sadly my grave was usually loaded with mostly plants and maybe 1 other type. Most times it got set for bait or a bluff, and when that worked I was able to use it as an easy pop for Scrap Dragon.

I run two in my Plant deck and it works great, granted our lists are quite different.

So last night I got to start a match against Harpies, didn't finish due to time.
Game 1 went as expected, massive destruction to my field and he won. Game 2 he didn't get the Hunting Ground as soon as he wanted, but eventually he had to deal with my field of Angineer, Gemini-summoned Gigaplant, Talaya, and Fluff token with set CotH and 3 set bluffs. (realized after I didn't need to set the bluffs)
His turn he was able to get a massive play- MST went to pop Coth and I chained for Dandy, Talaya's eff kept Dandy alive (was stoked when I realized this, reason I didn't need the bluffs). Then Harpie summons cleared the bluffs and he went into Draco, and Zerofyne with 2 tokens and Hunting Ground. Zerofyne's eff was used, I chained Angineer so the lingering eff could protect Gigaplant. He had a 5k Zerofyne and Draco hit my Dandy (I was stupid not to save that instead of Giga, forgot the negation stays til his SP) then hit my Angineer.
So top decking with a negated field of Fluff token, Talaya, and Gigaplant. I draw Crane Crane. Immediate thought was Meliae can do something to help, just needed to figure out what. Took me a little to figure it out but this is what I did for epicness-
Summon Crane, eff for Dandy, Xyz summoned Meliae. Meliae eff (detach Crane) to SS Lonefire from grave. Lonefire eff to send Gigaplant to SS Copy Plant from deck. Copy used eff on Lone, synchro summoned Vulcan. Vulcan targeted his Zerofyne and my Meliae. Dandy got 2 more Fluff to field.
My field is now 2 Fluff, Talaya, and Vulcan. His is Ground, 2 MPB token and Draco. Thinking it through I realized now I banish Copy for Spore in grave. Level 2 Spore on field, now synchro summon with 1 Fluff and Vulcan for Mist Wurm clearing his Draco and Tokens. Now I hit for his last 4700lp.
