So first go at a Plant deck with Meliae. Side deck is stuff that I was thinking on but haven't really decided on yet. Decided I would go with Hedge Guard since it is a defensive wall if needed, also fills the role of Plant for MotR, a level 3 for Crane Crane, Earth to help make Meliae, and can protect Meliae from battle to try and use the effect the second time. First build- I have not had a chance for any testing with this since I got the list together late last night. And waiting on my Meliae in the mail before I can test without using proxies, I hate using proxies. edit- Testing has been done. Adjustments made, so more testing to do. Second list- May still decide to trade Star Eater for Mist Wurm. New format and updated build:

Hedge Guard is an interesting player choice, but regardless of reason I don't see three of it being more important than the second Card Trooper.

I really have bad luck with mill cards and wouldn't even use the 1 here if I didn't see its synergy. I've had considerable times when I've run Trooper, or other mill based cards, with only 5-6 spells/traps in the deck and still managed to hit s/t as every milled card. Unless after testing I see a need for the 2nd Trooper that will probably stay at 1 even if I drop 1 of the Hedge Guards.

I would honestly drop a hedge guard and + 1 Copy Plant [ Very underrated. ]

That is something I will definitely try before a second Trooper. So far I've only got 1 match in with it and won 2-1, lost the second game by getting swarmed and that is how I took game 1. Hedge Guard was so much fun when it got used.

Thank you. Finally an image for a deck. I've been hurting trying to remember the cards off the top of my head just by name. (I mainly remember stuff by image)
Questions that come to mind are:
Lone card trooper? I always like him at two if I use him. He feels a very awkward 1 of.
Also the lone Scapegoat feels awkward.
(I have more questions but have class.) Will post more later.

I hate Trooper with a passion. I always mill bad with it, but I see how it can be useful in here. Still don't think it will ever go to 2 in my deck. The lone scapegoat acts as defense when I'm getting hosed for monsters (shouldn't happen with the monster count though), when I get field wiped, and as synchro filler. The last has already come in handy, as had the second scenario. So far when I play 1 Goat I see it reliably, but when I've tried more I never saw any until I had a fairly dominating field.
When you have more questions, fire away. I still need to do more testing with this though.

How is Mark of the Rose testing? I find myself normally liking to run creature swap over it.

So far it really hasn't been bad. Every time I've drawn it now it has helped with a play. Either a Synchro or Xyz recovery play from an empty field, or just that much more damage gets done.
Card Trooper still hates me. Will continue testing before I make any changes regarding Trooper, especially since the deck has still been doing fairly well. Loving the flexibility of the extra but have made 2 changes there; Big Eye went in over Draco, and Star Eater over #49.
Debating Talaya over Tytannial right now based on a couple different games last night.

Card tropper hates many of us my dear friend. I know =.= he hates me too. Regarding creature swap vs mark, I prefer mark.
Talaya vs Tytannial. In my personal builds I run both.

I just see that I could end with 1 or both in hand if I did both. That's the luck I've had with them as well. If I drop Trooper I might try both.

From experience I may risk the chance of drawing them however I have lost more duels without them.

After playing against this deck a number of times now, I can say it looks like one of your Top 3-4 creations. (You should edit the OP to take that "have not had a chance for testing" part out!) As for the deck itself, you might want to actually try Talaya over Tytannial. Talaya will protect Meliae from (or delay the usage of) stuff like Dark Hole that Tytannial simply cannot touch, and as a bonus, that kind of protection will allow a drawn Hedge Guard to be that much more useful! Due to the nature of this deck, you don't always have another Plant to use for Tytannial's effect. Plus, due to the nature of this meta, you won't always have her around when something of yours is being targeted in the first place.

Looks like I'll risk Talaya over Trooper then. Trooper hates me, and Burn has wiped quite a few fields of mine that had Tytannial and a number of plants for tribute.
