I'm never sure how I want to start a custom X/Y party for the story. I usually pick a party of 3 to run with through most of the game. What do you normally do?

I agree with Bystander, it is much easier than the first two. Still a pretty good game though. I just hope they come out with a fourth installment and that it is more of a challenge. I'm gonna restart Y soon. Mostly due to boredom. Breeding some Pokemon for it (Beldum, all the starters, Shinx, ect.) to transfer over via Bank. They announced The Lost Ages pretty quickly after the first game. IIRC it was the next E3 they announced it. Pretty sure if they were going to do another game, one factor might be the sales of Dark Dawn. It came out Nov 2010. Been over 3 years since its release. If there is a sequel in the works something tells me we may see it on the 3DS, that could be the reason why a sequel was delayed having to restructure environments/character sprites for stereoscopic 3D takes time. Then again one thing a lot of players want is backwards compatibility with Dark Dawn, and possibly wifi communication to battle each other online. Hopefully we might get information on it @ this years E3. @ JerkJerk: Typically I look through what is available early in the game, and build a team that way. Right now on the fence about using Charmander or Fletchling on my X team. Depends on Charmanders nature/gender/IV.

Several of the Dark Dawn production team have hinted at it. I could dig up the interviews if you like.

I'm currently making my way through the Dead Space series. Just started DS3 yesterday.

Oh gosh Dead Space. Haha, my first introduction to the series was one that didn't really know what it was about, and it has been a long while since I played horror games personally. Fun times.

Bystander, I couldn't find the full interview. It might be saved on my old computer, I'll check later tonight. But this link has the part of the interview that hints rather strongly at Golden Sun 4.

Bystander, I couldn't find the full interview. It might be saved on my old computer, I'll check later tonight. But this link has the part of the interview that hints rather strongly at Golden Sun 4. Yeah it does hint @ a GS 4. However, there are 2 things it also says: 1) the creators have to be given time, meaning the game isn't on a development schedule yet. 2) only if the GS fans keep bugging Nintendo to make another one. I know there are some rabid GS fans out there, but are there enough to drive the point home. Dark Dawn left a bad taste in a lot of GS players mouths. Personally with how the game set up a potential sequel, why the hell was a GS 4 not already being planned after the game went into localization for the rest of the world? 7 years between sequels in an RPG series isn't a good thing, the fan base shrank down to the die hards only. Not enough new people were getting hooked on the games. One of the primary issues for lack in an interest the 3rd GS game, was that the early GS games we had the competitive link feature in both early games. Which was a complete waste of something the franchise became known for. @ least with wifi competitive links players would still be interested in playing the game and leveling characters in the "competitive" classes. It would have also united the GS online community even further.

Actually I think that they planned to have a fourth installment all along. I'm gonna avoid the obvious question mark at the end and go for the big one you might have missed. There is armor that increases resistance to light. Think about that for a moment. Psynergy comes in only four forms; Earth, Fire, Wind and Water. So why put in items that increase resistance to light?

There is armor that increases resistance to light. Think about that for a moment. Psynergy comes in only four forms; Earth, Fire, Wind and Water. So why put in items that increase resistance to light? If they planned a 4th GS game it would have been in development the second GSDD went into localization for the rest of the world. The fact there is no continuing storyline now, means GSDD was treated as a "pet project" type of deal and only great sales would determine if a sequel would be made. The game was welcomed by the fan base, however, with no backwards compatibility (would have been interesting to have the characters stats be passed on from their parents, rare weapons could have been passed on via the stores, plus opening a hard mode for returning players) and no competitive link features really left much to be desired after the games initial completion. Umm looking @ the intense energy being put off by that final machine/weapon it was a way to protect themselves from that energy. That machine was draining psynergy from everything the light touched was it not? The rest of the party needed a way to protect themselves from having there energy drained. That machine/weapon also explains why psynergy was sealed away in the first place.

Played another demo on the 3DS that I haven't bothered with up until now: Project X Zone. The concept is pretty cool and the mechanics, thought relatively foreign to me, looks fun so this is something I might just look into. I do love me some crossover stuff.
