I'm not even going to bother planning too much until they reveal that last one. It could change everything. I just like that at least one of the Artifacts will be able to destroy others on its own. Thankfully, banishing destruction effects are not too prevalent these days...

That username phrankenberry is very familiar for some reason?
Traptrix Tio is a step in the right direction for developing the Traptrix archetype.

A friend mentioned a cool Xyz Monster concept where it would have a "When this card is successfully summoned" style of effect where it return "X" amount, or even all, Trap Hole cards in your Graveyard to your deck. That would be neat.

That would be neat. If they ever give the Traptrix archetype an Xyz, which one would have to hope Tio's effect is signaling, it should absolutely be something just like that. They can make it Traptrix-themed if they want, and they can even make it an effect that uses Xyz Material instead of one that activates on its Xyz Summon, but it would simply be too good of an idea to pass up! I do wonder if all the one-of support present here for older archetypes means that some of the Xyz in this set may also be given to them. I would settle for the Venom archetype finally being thrown a card or two. If Hazy Flame and Ancient Gear can get a random new card, Venom definitely can...

Artifacts supports are nuts.. I would play some copy of artifacts in any deck just so i can use Movement and Theosophy. The XYZ, Durandal is like a little Felgrand

I slacked on Artifacts since I was waiting for them on DevPro and then just forgot to keep up with them. I was testing a new deck that I plan on doing work with and randomly came up against an Artifact deck. Needless to say, I was stoked since I would have a learning experience and see first hand what the deck can do. I clear his field via "X Card"s effect in his turn and he wound up Special Summoning 4 Monsters and adding 4 cards to hand. I was like "WHAT!" I won the game just due to having overall better cards, but the deck looked very interesting and very fun. Will have to jump into that at some point soon.

Looks like this is the set I'm waiting for. Apart from Excition Knight, and 3 Ghostrick cards, there is nothing for me in LVAL.

Artifacts remind me of Crystal Beast. They are dead by themselves so you don't want to play too many of Artifact monsters (huge plus with resilience to Heavy Storm, in case it gets unbanned). Theosophy and Moralltach are exactly what could have driven CB up a ladder, if only it has its own version of them. More card to tutor Pegasus + CB with destruction effect

I keep going back to all the goodness Malevolent Catastrophe could produce with the Artifacts. It's an exciting play to consider... Hopefully, they will prove to be the interesting but useful, creative cards this game will still need after the Sylvans hit the tables.

Has anyone seen the new Sylvan support in this set?! Sproutcolyte's cool enough, but Sagequoia is an easily summoned beater with a great recursion effect, Charity is just wild, and, Oreia... my goodness, Oreia... Please discuss. Personally, I think this support should be nothing short of incredible. Whoa...

lol Silver mentioned them in the Plant thread the other day. Yes they will be awesome. Their own version of Graceful Charity and Mist Wurm. That is never a bad thing.

For me, the promise (based on the Sprout and Sage's card numbers) of two more Sylvans in this set even after those two is as exciting as the ones we already know. They're filling out every Level as well, making all kinds of crazy Synchro plays possible. I approve!

I'm so excited to get his fully fleshed out, I already have all but 2 Marshalleaf and 2 Hermitree to have full sets of all Sylvans from LVAL.
