As far as I know, there is not a complete list yet, but from what I've seen it's even worse outside of maybe Safe Zone and maybe Fog King. Safe Zone and Fog King are ultra rares, so they wouldn't be allowed in Draft play unless they change the rules for the YCS Draft. Then basically the set isn't even worth bothering.

For some people it's not going to be. But there are those that do enjoy sealed play, as well as those that just have money to waste on everything that gets put out for this game.

This list of cards is so horrible. It's even got Sinister Serpent, Dark Magician of Chaos and Magician of Faith, Cyber Jar, Premature Burial, Monster Reborn and Pot of Greed in it, which you can't use in Competitive Play. Which either is one of 4 possibilities; 1) All of these cards are coming back 2) Konami is reprinting them for the sake of reprinting them 3) Did not preview the set list 4) Throwing in power cards to even out potential card pool A draft strategy with pretty much any of those 8 cards are almost freebies. Which is counter-intuitive. Anyways, horrible avenue to force on the player base, should have tested, done some R&D, created a better product, and hell, we can create a better draft set. You are forgetting that this whole set was created for seal play, the purpose of this set is built around getting the big bruiser monsters on the field lightning fast. Using this set doesn't even mean anything is coming off the list. It looks like Konami wants to test the deck building ingenuity of the top 16 players by doing this section of the tourney in sealed play. Personally I see it as great a challenge for those who want to win a YCS. IMO it is also much easier to do than starting a YCS like this instead.

There have also been instances were "poorer" card pools have done well based solely on the player's skill and how he approached each round.

There have also been instances were "poorer" card pools have done well based solely on the player's skill and how he approached each round. All right, poorer card pools have beaten better card pools. Hell, YCS Turin just had Geargia Karakuri beat Dragon Rulers. But how much skill was involved, or how much deckbuilding and testing went into it? Then ... how much luck? Konami is doing it to push product, not to improve game skill. And a bad product at that. You can't just replace part of the game with another aspect. Why not just have Sealed play as it's own tournament? Why replace the Top 16 of every major tournament, create more luck-based drafting. Top 16 players who make it to that point at a YCS? They're already skilled, they already prove they are that good. Might as well keep the luck based DR formats, it's exactly the same thing.

Also this is Draft not Sealed, so you play with what you choose from limited card pools not necessarily what you open. Or is given to you.

Its also going to show who will actually think about what they are wanting to get done, and who prioritizes what.

Well, please do read it eventually. Draft is very, VERY different from Sealed. Sealed is pretty lucked based, but a lot of that is taken care of in Draft. It's still cards you may not be used to playing with, nor would want to, but the deck-building aspect, as well as the overall draft aspect (like knowing and choosing which cards go where), but it's not wholly your luck that decides how well you do. Even if everyone is working with the jankiest pulls, at least you can control who gets the worse stuff and who gets the better stuff.
