For those that know me from TCGPlayer I need no introduction. For everyone else my name is Chris. I am a native NYer for 34 years. I am currently working with the middle school grades (5-8) of a catholic academy, which is the reason why I am not as active as I would like to be. This job takes up a lot of time, anyone who says a teacher's job is easy needs to be "re-educated." I have been a player of this game since it was introduced to the U.S. I was competitive back then, how ever stopped being competitive around the time the ban list went into effect. Got back into the competitive scene when Synchros ere introduced, and I that is when I found TCGPlayer. The rest as they say is history. I am a proud member of Team Ninja and Team Alpha Omega. I look forward to being a member here.

Haha, some people might disagree. Actually I should say the families of some people might disagree.

Belated welcome Chris, how goes teaching? I want to rake them over coals half the time for their attitude towards school, but I figure that is due to my passion to get them educated. I am also tired and drained @ the end of the day, but that doesn't matter @ all. I am actually having a blast. A consistent paycheck and the health benefits don't hurt either.

I know it's easier said than done, but you have to show them it's fun, and they will like it.

Fire is always fun. Do something with fire. I was going to suggest showing them the movie "dodgeball" and telling them to write a paper on what the morale of the movie is, then when they hand them in (unless on of these kids actually gets it) tell them they all failed and say "the morale of the story is, if you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball" then lift up a bucket of rusty tools from under the desk. (dollars to doughnuts says they duck faster than superman folds laundry), but fire works too!

I wish he was a science teacher. That job makes it so easy to make things fun.
