Earth coming back to three and Transmodify becoming a card helped give a little life to this deck. It's just unfortunate how linear the deck is/can be. There are certain scenarios like the "Floating Earth" game states where OTKs and position/presence shifts lie, but other than that, just the same ole', same ole'. Don't really think a Chaos variant is the way to go currently, it's probably best to run Herald Agents currently; or least some variation. And it will still let you run BLS, so there is that. I was interested in the fact that Agent had Striker returned to them at 2 and Earth to 3, and still no word of them doing anything. That is kind of surprising. But in a real competitive local/event if you don't hit Kristya with protection early, you probably just lose. Damn Dragons.

Thoughts on the recently released Armor Kappa?

It should definitely be tested since it is a Rank 2 and the deck loves that Rank. The last card I tested in the Extra Deck was Herald of Pure Light. I will get around to testing Kappa at some point I'm certain.

Pure Light was a good addition to this decks extra. Recycling Shine Balls for multiple uses was great.

Well that was the thought in theory, but I have been testing the deck a lot with a friend who loves the Agents. It is quite surprising how you rarely if ever make the Herald play, and it's generally not for a Shine Ball.

That's just disappointing to hear. What would usually get cycled back?

Just two instances that my mind is wanting to remember currently: 1) Kristya 2) Hyperion. And if I'm not mistaken he was just returning extra Agents, if that matters.

Why would you return extra Agents? The only one that would really be worth summoning again is Earth.

Well that was the thought in theory, but I have been testing the deck a lot with a friend who loves the Agents. It is quite surprising how you rarely if ever make the Herald play, and it's generally not for a Shine Ball. I haven't tested that card in agents yet cause I've been dedicating time to my dragunities that now changed to dragon rulers. The thing is... agents' deck is build to make 2 plays in the first turn (at least, T.G. Agents and chaos agents that I used to play with): summoning the Agent of Mystery - Earth or summon The Agent of Creation - Venus. When you do this, more than often, you won't have anything to recycle. And after that... how many rank 2 do agents do? Almost none... unless you can make a level 2 monster survive with honest... Of course you can have a tour guide play in the first turn... then you would have to use another fiend and almost no one do that (and one of the possibilities is Tour Bus From the Underworld, but if we get the first tour guide back to the deck, why would we use Herald of Pure Light?) Now... if you use the card trooper version or any version that mills, you will get some valuable monsters in the grave before doing the venus play. You might end up with Kristya, Master Hyperion, Black Luster Soldier - envoy of the beginning, Chaos Sorcerer, tour guide, etc etc... This in theory. Other version is the perfect agents as you get lots of fairys in the grave earlier... and it wouldn't be a bad thing to get one fairy in the hand while you send a non fairy monster to the deck. Again... in theory. Also... the venus play was great cause we would be left with something better on the field that venus and herald of pure light... About Armored Kappa... he can only protect all your monsters once in a duel. The boost effect isn't something that great. Let's face it... gachi gachi isn't that great anymore but using Kappa just to protect a venus is something that isn't a great play. But... if we have one master hyperion out there, or we are able to summon Kristya after summoning him... now, that would be great!! I guess that is worth a try. I know that the extra in agents isn't easy to get going with all the cards available, but we have so few rank 2 that we can think of when doing this deck: Gachi gachi, Daigusto Phoenix, Number 96: Dark Mist (in the chaos version, he might be good to set up a BLS or CS play from one card... also... it takes down big guys...), Herald of Pure Light and Armored Kappa that I guess that we can, at least, try it.

We are testing Trooper since it is the best version to run in regards to consistency/overall utility, but have been considering adding the T.G. engine to get more if possible. Always opening Earth and Venus to start the game is only applicable in theory mode, but would be nice. This deck is one of the ones that was really hurt by losing Pot of Avarice. The Extra Deck is so open since very few plays from there are mandatory additions, so you just build it as scenario based as possible and this is where the idea that Pure Light has some value, although it never pays off that way.

Pot of Avarice was good here? Why did I ever see that card in any build out there? That card was not necessary in this deck... and still isn't. We want agents, light fairies and darks in the grave... and the card trooper version uses 2 or 3 Call of the Haunted to get you something out of bad milling. I want to try that version as it is the only one that is able to get Kristya on the field enough times. And... it makes you able to get Angel of zera easier... we know that we can banish him almost at will...

Pot of Avarice was a recovery card for Agents that made Venus live in the late game as well as could help control the Grave late game for Kristya. Lots of decks that topped played the card as a one of.
